Let us cry in this thread, for our builds with no abilities are to be thrown out of the window.

Post your 'frame and it's purpose with a RIP.

RIP Frost P, you will forever be loved as my one and only bullet sponge :'(

It goes from 10 to 8...

(Or 11 to 9 if you count the Aura slot)

Maybe DE will allow us to "shut down" features of our Warframe systems, allowing us to turn our powers on and off.

Who the crud uses no abilities...?  Do you even Warframe?

I take off all my mods sometimes, including powers, just to get a challenging feel. Makes me feel more like a soldier than a god.

I try not to support these kinds of threads, but the OP is right. I run with a Shield only Volt, because I utilize the other slots for things to assist me in melee only. While I appreciate getting powers back, in a sense even if they aren't part of my repertoire, I am now losing out on one mod that I used to be able to run. I guess there goes my Fortitude/Retribution or whatever else I was running in that slot.

I'll have to adapt, but, I tend to do that well. In the end, I'll support the change as part of a larger adjustment to game play overall.

For those who don't get it, the OP is referring to the fact that people who use specialized builds with only one or no abilities in their frames for whatever reason won't be benefited by this change.

I have a couple of builds with only one ability, like my boss soloer MP Nova and my defense soloer Chaos Nyx, but luckily I never had enough Forma to fit enough mods in them for this change to actually hurt me in any way.

Because I like Frost's appearance, traits but hate his powers since they got nerfed...

Am I not allowed an opinion?

Everyone is allowed an opinion, DESPITE many posters thinking the contrary.

I play with 4 abilities on almost every Warframe. I TRIED running a 'Desecrate' only Nekros and got bored in 3 minutes. Same with the 'press '4' to win' frame builds. But that is just me, not everyone.

DE CANNOT please every player. But I DO think this change will benefit most of us.

Yup, most... I made this thread to the people who are negatively effected by this though. Apologies...

I would honestly not be surprised if you were the only warframe player to actually do this.

I know a Saryn who does the same. I know I'm not alone... (But I didn't expect so many people to be against our no-ability builds .-.)

It less people being against it and more just people wondering why you would do it in the first place.

Not only did you fail to count the mods slots correctly, but you failed to understand that you will have all your abilities to use or not use as you please.  If you were actually paying attention to the devstream, (assuming you saw it), you will have a total of 9 slots.  Not 8.  That means we originally had a total of 11.  Not 10.   And why do you care, when you are one within the small minority that uses only one ability on your warframe?  In truth, you are only losing one slot (according to how you mod things), which makes you sad over only one mod slot?

You have not even played the game with this new update yet.  Why fret over nothing?

I ran zero powers for doing the Gate Crash Event, just for the hek of it.

But I usually run 3-4 powers, so this is a buff for me.

With 6 Forma into my MP Nova, This Hurts a lot.

Going against whatever you don't understand is a reflex.

What I find funny is that, by their logic, the Stalker making most of our abilities irrelevant is an awful thing.

No problem. YOU at least are fairly civil about this. I am SO trying not to fall out of my chair laughing reading some of the... 'differing opinions' in some other threads.

An interesting idea. I HAVE run with my Banshee on a few missions with no abilities. But I didn't like it so much. I am a ninja/stealth/sniper sort. Not into causing myself unneeded pain. (GEEZ spell check HATED that word...)

It's a greater good thing. Yes, people do make extremely specialized builds (and they are entitled to an opinion and a voice) however this change is more beneficial to a larger number of people than it is harmful.

I agree...

Sorry for making the thread, I guess.
