Arlayn
True story... As shocking as it is for most to no longer be able to stick cards in there for abilities. It used to be like that, and back when it was like that we were 100x more powerful. Like literal gods. Where being shot at meant nothing. It was level up get points stick them in web, and that was it. The point ratio vs. the effect was so out there though due to how powerful we could become. So as scary as it seems to no longer have cards for abilities. If your an old member then this shouldn't be much of a problem of a change like for myself, but for those who have no idea how to live life without ability mods... Take solace in knowing without all those ability mods you can now get a thousand of some other useless mod, and slightly increased chances for the mod you want... Sorta...(you will still need to sacrifice to the RNG Gods.) The good news is unlike back then where you had to have more than one warframe with different upgrades. Now we don't have to do that, and this new system makes modding even easier. I say I am looking forward to the future of abilities, and you should too. Because owning 3-5 of the same warframe is a pain that you don't have to suffer.

Rydian
I joined in U7, I remember people asking others to mark mods in every mission because nobody had a big mod collection and everything was new and needed.

Pieguy
Back then you could stack a ton of the same mod for some hilarious effects. This is one video that inspired me to try to get a ton of sprint speed boost mods to run super fast: And no this isn't sped up, it's legit. Mak_Gohae
That tree system allowed you pick the abilities you wanted to use and their level of power. It was basically still the same as having mod cards. Now you will be running with max power of an ability all the time and that creates a bit of trouble with certain abilities. GinKenshin
the good thing from this change was the exclusivity, I played a lot of online games, and all of them had that tree system, the card system gives DE a shin in the world of online games
Pieguy
I saw old Krill in that movie. *random recollection tear comes out of my eye* Haha yeah, the gorgon was the S#&$ back then. Loved that gun, still one of my most used ones.

Kalenath
sounds like it was better then wish we could go back. I like the mod card system better than any skill tree I have seen except MAYBE Dragon Age: Inquisitor's. Not sure since that isn't out yet. It is different.
