Stars Above Posts?

After briefly searching for other thread that have asked this and finding none, I would like to ask, what those stars above certain posts (usually dev posts) mean, here's a pic;

 

 

 

Is it a way the devs tell each other they've read the thread or something? I honestly have no clue :/

I think it represents importance, with 5 stars being the most important.
