Firepower, Style, Mechanics, Look... What Do You Look For ?

What do people look for when choose warframes, weapons, and other pieces of equipments ?

Is the firepower everything or is there also a precise "playstyle" or some "gaming mechanic" behind  loadout ?

What do people think when looking at theyr own build ?

In few words: do people expect a weapon to be powerful, look cool, have a certain game mechanic, give a particular "style", or what else ?

I think this might somehow also help the devs understanding what people want the most (if something powerful, something cool, etc.).

 

Personally... i look for style (The "old Japanese warriors" kind based on "old" weapons) and particular game mechanics (like the castanas: you stick them somewhere and blow them up whenever you need).

The impossible to describe thing, that always makes me go back to Saryn, Mag or Hydroid.

I like to try new mechanics out but if it doesn't have enough power it doesn't stay unless it's a frame since they are a pain to farm and build

While damage is a good stat to be conscious of, I personally look for playstyle. I like melee only and stealth combat. These two usually influence me to use Loki, Ash or Banshee and give them a pretty versatile melee weapon (usually the glaive). If I do pack a gun, I mod it to my desired playstyle. Critical damage and stealth. Normally for me this makes Bows my primary choice with throwing knifes as a secondary.

Depends on warframe and my mood, i use the most devastating stuff on my rhino while on loki i look for finesse.

Personally i prefer style.. the warframe plus weapons have to look GOOD and should inspire you something, maybe a theme or a pattern, ninja, militar, hunting, biomechanical...etc. Because there is to many boltor primes and rhino primes in the world that one more it's innecesary...

I look for a weapon and frame that is good in conclave.

Style, hands down. Even if the weapon or frame is super effective, if it doesn't look good (at least in my eyes) It's a no go.

 

Prime example(no pun intended): Mag. I love her skillset, but her stances are...well, plain. I'll use her when we can swap idle noble and agile stances around.

 

Hydroid: Some people say he's grossly underpowered (for whatever reason) and I use him alot. I get yelled t alot (again, whatever) but I ignore thos people.

 

BTW: Hydriod, Triton helmet, Sybaris, Pyrana and Nami Skyla/Solo for maximum pirate.
