tocorro
Endless fight between DEvs and buff/nerf supporters : It looks cool. And I wanted to post it. That's main reason :P Don't judge ;] EDIT (oh ok, so who is who): Purple - sword and board - DEvs Yellow - dakra p - nerf supporters Green - gram - buff supporters Edited October 23, 2014 by tocorro
vaugahn
Nobody is a "buff" supporter or a "nerf" supporter. That's just ridiculous. You're either a balance supporter, which requires both of those, or you're not.

If one person's idea of balance includes nerfing a weapon I think is balanced into the ground, I am opposed to that nerf, and as such a not a nerf supporter but still a balance supporter. That's just debate as to the kind of balance required. I seriously doubt there's anyone who really thinks we can get to balance by just buffing or just nerfing. tocorro
Buff both of them. More crit for daggers, better range or a pellet multiplier on shotguns. Then, there are cases in which you are in the "buff" camp :) But I agree 100% those weapons need that rebalance. And heavy melees too.

But there are things I'd like to nerf as well. Can't just do one or the other, it doesn't work that way. So I suppose I'm in both camps then? vaugahn
Out of curiosity, what would you nerf ? Well, I'd start with things like Hysteria and Boltor Prime, the obvious statistical outliers. There's not really a lot of stuff that needs a serious nerf though. Maybe a slight range decrease for some of the more powerful radial abilities, or an accuracy penalty to some of the rapid-fire rifles. I'd also nerf enemy scaling and damage mods, though I don't know if those count. Ideally, the goal of all this would be to make all warframes equally viable, and all weapons equally viable in their tier.

You're either a balance supporter, which requires both of those, or you're not. You're mistaken. There SHOULD not be any buff supporters or nerf supporters. It SHOULD be that one supports balance which requires both of those. Unfortunately there are a lot of folks out there who mistakenly think the road to "balance" is to focus almost exclusively on one or the other. They're wrong of course. but they are out there. tocorro
I've never called for a nerf yet (well it irks me a bit that Loki RD doesn't have any time cap on it) And a buff - well ... a rework for Excal abilities - especially SJ - since I heard of the comming LoS to his RB. Other than that long time ago I wanted for Detron to have a charge mechanism like Drakgoon - hold it down to narrow the spread. But since I got my hands on Marelok I have my tool for headshots. Other than that long time ago I wanted for Detron to have a charge mechanism like Drakgoon - hold it down to narrow the spread. But since I got my hands on Marelok I have my tool for headshots. Balancing out (read nerfing) Loki's abilities would all in all seem pretty destructive since he is purely based around his utility. I've seen some people calling for his Invisibility to be nerfed because it's too long but since Ash also has a form of invisibility with offensive abilities as well, Loki needs that boost to his advantage. I've never seen RD mentioned before, but when it comes to T4 and my weapons are no longer doing damage, I'm glad that I can at least do something to help the squad survive just a little bit longer. Just my opinion as a Loki fan.
