So De. How Many Mb's Will Be Needed To Be Downloaded For U15?

I don't know why people sometimes freak out when an update is over 1 gig. Slow connections, I guess?

Not in this thread, but I remember when U14 was coming up I saw a lot of people just going ballistic when they saw how big the update was.

I suppose it might stem from people having to spend time they could be playing the game just simply updating it. Mostly cause some people can't leave downloads running while they're, say, at work or sleeping.  Slow internet contributes more to that too.

It's a pain for me since I have a really slow connection. I will probably have to do this overnight.

alternatively, not much free time and perhaps need to use their Internet Connection at it's performance when they do have free time.

honestly, the best options for this is Launchers that let you pause downloads and resume them after restarting the Launcher, so people can trickle complete them if they need to.

i personally think Launchers are pointless and just a waste of the end users' time, because all of those features can be IN the game - but if we're going to have Launchers, they could atleast let you partial download and resume and all of that stuff, for those that would find use for it, right?

i don't have any worries about data sizes either, an 1100MB update should take me less than two minutes, i got nothing to complain about.

but there's some people that need to be more data conscious or don't have much time and don't have 'fantastic' Internet.

It's crazy to think so much content in a game like this can be packed into a gig of data.

well honestly, it's because most of the data is likely compressed, and there also isn't massive data bloat like some bloated budget games that are like, 50 gigs, and literally for no good reason.

"uncompressed everything because if the game is bigger we can trick you into thinking it must be good". i mean, seriously. some Developers need to grow up. uncompressed audio is pointless. there's lossless audio options if you want maximum quality - and that will take up reasonable amounts of space.

Digital Extremes isn't dreadfully despicable like that though. :)

Who remembers when even major updates were ~11 mb?

A 1 gb update is pretty small compared to many games out there though :|

But low end CPUs can't handle compressed audio?  Bahaha.  Did respawn think people would buy that nonsense?  And not a peep about how we have to install the audio files for localizations we'll never use.  And why not give compressed audio as an option at least?  Guess it doesn't really matter since I got bored of titan fall after 3-4 weeks :|
