Cyberspace100
The Problem With Syndicates Honestly they are a really good idead and i like how they all have there motives and values and how the curency works. But one thing became very obvius when i looked at the website, i quote: After obtaining enough Standing to reach the title of General, Tenno can exchange Standing for Ability Mods for Steel Meridian’s favoured Warframes. Two of Steel Meridian’s favored Warframes are Rhino and Saryn. Every syndicates have favored warframes. The problem with this system is that people will side with the syndicate that has their favorite warframes. They wont bother to read the lore they will just side with Steel Meridian because they have the players favorite warframe mods. I think all syndicates should have accses to all mods. What do you think? Did you pick a Syndicate because they favored Rhino or Ash (etc) ? Note: U15 is supossed to come out tomorrow and i know all this is persoaly choice and stuff but i do belive that in the near futre syndicates may have some sort of PVP and i dont want to be goin up against a whole army of rhino's and iron skin. ALSO syndicates are supposed to be about the LORE and what each player feels is right not which syndicate has better mods..i quote: Each Syndicate has their own agenda rooted in the tenets they hold close... Tenno that wish to fight for their cause. you people should start going with "fun" rather than what's "useful" Edited October 24, 2014 by Cyberspace100
NovusNova
You do realise that it says "Two of", meaning that probably they will have more mods for other warframes.
fatpig84
1) All items are trade-able. 2) If you hate trading you still can grind em out. As for option 2 it will hurt take awhile to grind all 8 but yeah you will get their loot eventually. But in return you probably &!$$ off the other 6 syndicate. Which what a Tenno should be. Psycho1848
Whats your Problem maybe the most plays for MS in the first days but after they have what they want i´m sure they will change the Syndicate to get the other Mods too.
Cyberspace100
You do realise that it says "Two of", meaning that probably they will have more mods for other warframes. Yeah i saw but my point is that one syndicate will favor some frames instead of others. And players who play warframes like Rhino and Loki will side with the syndicate that favor their warframe

Tiqalicious
The problem with this thread is that you're trying to call out problems for a system you haven't actually played yet.
(PSN)IIIDevoidIII
Nope. Suda likes Banshee and Vauban. I don't. I don't care.
LeeoBSL
Sincerely i don't see the problem here. Why someone's choice should bother you? Personally i will pick the Red Veil and Steel Meridian since they are allied and favour the frames that i personally like ash or rhino. It's an individual's choice and preference, no matter why that individual prefers x or y.

AM-Bunny
Nah just the opposite, OP. Nothing could stop me from siding with Perrin Sequence. My Mag/Mag Prime are already topped out, and I'm going to start spending more time on Nekros. It's the syndicate that's going to dictate my choice of warframe, not the other way around. That being said, I know I feel more strongly about syndicate loyalty than most players.

So many factions and sub factions. You can have -9.9 reputation (-10 means you gotta be a real mean bastard to them then), just gotta work your way up. I must have grind hundreds of Matar missions to bring up Gallante standings so that they don't shoot me the moment I appear in their territory. But since Matar is less hostile to my favoured faction Caldari, I still get decently good standings with Caldari. But if I want to turn coat to Gallante, I just have to do it the hard way, as in lots of grinding again. But since Gallente and Caldari hate each other, I can gain standings relatively quickly. Just grind. Cmon you guys play Warframe hundreds or thousands of grinding missions should not put off you guys. StinkyPygmy
I'm probably gonna roll with the PS and they don't favor my mains (sayrn and banshee), which doesn't bother me too much because I can grind out ranks and then trade the gear with people who have the mods etc I need from Suda and Steel Meridian. If the gear wasn't tradable I might be a bit annoyed that I would have to grind stuff out. But eh. I get what you are trying to say OP, in that people will pick syndicates based on their frame and not who that would actually want to support, but seeing as the gear is tradable that will be less of an issue. Either way, it doesn't hurt the game of people choose based on that premise.
Brimir
Yep, I hate it. It has almost totally turned me off the Syndicate hype because I feel forced to go with the Syndicate I need rather than the one I want.
JohnProdman
Why is there always a problem with you people? This is the age we're in. People go out of their way to have problems or to feel insulted. There's probably some deep psychological explanation for why society is this way. It supossed to be played with friends and enjoyed in little bursts. Then read option 1. Trade-able. And like it or not, Warframe is indeed about grinding. Even if you choose to disagree. Back in the day when Rubedo did not fall from the sky like now, people hump Sedna and Earth all day and mark Rubedo and O cells if they dropped. That is how I played. Also my guns aren't going to level themselves if I just play 1 to 2 Exterminations a day. How about guns that I have to forma 4 to 5 times ? So just plonk on the Sigil. And do your rounds. I am sure by time I am done with a 5 forma gun without exp booster, I should have plenty of reputation with that certain faction. Anatolius
Yep, I hate it. It has almost totally turned me off the Syndicate hype because I feel forced to go with the Syndicate I need rather than the one I want. Actually you don't neeedd to be in any syndicate. You just feel a desire to fulfill a want that is supposedly limiting your choice of action . If you got a bud why not trade with them? Or at least run the Syndicates in a way that they flow in a cycle of positive reputation. Regardless of where you start you'll get to the start again (Sorry I can't really say I have a problem simply because I was already gonna start with hexis/suda which are pretty much allies so it all works out for me I'm biased as heck right now)
GinKenshin
so what....I love ember, and there's no syndicate that favor her, but I'll still go with suda even they favor banshee and vauban which I don't have you people should start going with "fun" rather than what's "useful"
BrazilianJoe
The descriptions are clear in that these are not the only frames favored by the syndicates. "Toothpickjoe and Spoonmary are TWO OF the warframes favored by Soup Syndicate". They only listed 12, the rest is hype-r-cloaked to stir up discussion. WERElektro
I kinda agree, Personally I'll go with the Sequence, even though they don't offer Volt stuff.... but other people will - as op said - just pick the syndicate which offers their favourite warframe's abilities and will completely ignore that bit of lore.
