Tellakey
Haven't played Limbo yet but I've been through some videos. At first I was bummed out. "So... a single target damage and a damage buff that connects only with his first ability? Plus all of his abilities are lackluster... bummer...", then I heard in one of the videos, "By the way, targets that are gone into the rift plane are only affected by targets who are there too". Then I was like O_O, you kidding me? This line just made my day. Limbo is the all-singing gentleman: A damager, crowd controler, tank and even healer (with the augment mod). Limbo is the most resourceful frame and the first to ever require finesse to show results! I still think his abilities need a remodeling because they look a bit lacking, and of course the damage buff is really unnecessary and is better off replaced by another useful ability. Oh and where's the moustache? We need a cosmetic! Edited October 25, 2014 by Tellakey
Transmorphic_Wyvern
He is definitely a tactical frame to use. Such a gentleman!
Morec0
Jack of All Trades, Master of None. I haven't played him yet, but the more I hear people talk about him the more concerned I am that his ability kit was a touch TOO ambitious.
izzatuw
I bought him. His idle animations are really unique when it comes to secondaries

Not for nothing his energy bar starts with 150.
.Monarch
I enjoy using Limbo. Due to like what you said - The only frame that actually requires brain to maximize its effectiveness. But sad to say, after maxing him out, the chances of touching him again, is quite slim.

So I'm deducing, and while I love the sound of that I feel like, perhaps, it's a little too.... restrictive? Perhaps a better approach would have been to alter the abilities for bonus effect by using them in conjunction, rather than relying on them for any effect at all. But, like I said: I haven't played him yet; and my opinion will most certainly change when I do start using him.

This idea of ability conjunction as a whole would, I believe, eventually come in a future update and for ALL Warframes. Basically abilities 2.0 Oh and a cane! OMG YES! Don't forget to add in some whistling and "trip-ti-do" along a casual cane dance. Edited October 25, 2014 by Tellakey

MechNexus
Limbo is a step in the right direction for Warframe design imo - His abilities mesh together really well. He's the best warframe yet. Bravo, DE.

I doubt there will be an ability 2.0 - of, if there is, we've already got it (between removing the mods and adding these enhancers cards for them). Besides, ability-conjunction over the whole of the game would only add unnecessary complication and become all the more difficult to balance as more and more frames keep getting added. Morec0
It's called progression. Seems more like complication to me, but I'm very much a "complex wide" sort of guy when it comes to my online co-op games. Endgame doesn't appeal to me in anything that isn't singleplayer - where a story and character development gives "endgame" an actual meaning. Your thread is sensible and thinking, but this thread is just CRAZY thinking. Who knows, maybe we'll get merged. After all, a loon amongst the norm is one of the throng so nobody would notice. kubbi
Imo Limbo is currently the worst warframe out there. He looks cool and thats it. I maxed him and found that none of his abilities are in any way usefull in a group. They're annoying actually. I say he needs a rework or his abilities need to be adjusted. I think you are alone or of the few of that mind. The facts are facts, he is oriented as a crowd controled\supporter and has been proven by some people as useful in his own way. Perhaps he opposes your personal taste? Because saying that none of his abilites are useful is just nonsensical. -FV-Runehawk
I'm quite enjoying the frame, although i find that he has too much control over his allies. In the right hands, he's very capable, but is met with terrible disdain in the hands of griefers. Why, you can throw someone in the rift for a full minute just for the hell of it. The visuals on his Rift Walk and Cataclysm are also a bit disorientated and obstructive, in my opinion. Overall, he's definitely a cool concept. Could use some tweaking here and there, however. Because saying that none of his abilites are useful is just nonsensical. He's usefull with a specialized loadout in very few situations. But more often his abilities will get in the way. His first ability immobilizes a mob but you also can no longer kill it as long as its under effect. 2nd ability is good for escape and can help reviving a fallen ally but it stops you from doing anything else (killing mobs). 3rd ability is meh, better to use Rhino roar. Ultimate does little damage and you can only shoot mobs from the inside. And the way the sphere shrinks is annoying. I guess it can be usefull when protecting an objective like a pod but you might as well use Frosts globe. So he can be usefull but its very situational. And why use him when there are frames that can do way better. Thats how I feel about Limbo. Edited October 25, 2014 by kubbi
