Odonata (from Greek odontos "tooth") refers to the order of flying carnivorous insects (dragonflies/damselflies) whose mandibles have prominent projections resembling vertebrate teeth 2. Elytron (from Greek elytra "sheath") refers to the hardened anterior forewings of beetles 3. Imperator (from Latin "commander") refers either to a beetle where the male has impressive mandibles used in courtship and fending off rivals OR the Emperor (Blue) dragonfly Haven't found where Onorix, Veritux or Corvas (from the Spanish?) were derived from yet ...
