Thoughts On The Difficulty Level Of The Limbo Quest

What I want, and why this is in General Discussion not Feedback is to share what I've felt in the opening stages of this quest, and see if it's a common theme or not.

I've only done up to obtaining the helmet BP and setting it building, but most of what I want to talk about is the Archwing Interception required for the previous stage. I've felt like the difficulty on this mission was far too high, given that an entirely new set of mods is required to power up Archwings and their weapons. The scaling also seems to be far too sensitive to increasing party size-when I did it solo, which was how I completed it, enemies were barely managable with lots of evasive flight (which barely helps) and ignoring enemies. With a four person group, enemies ripped even heavily shielded and armored frames to pieces without a chance for evasion or even reaction.

Perhaps I'm doing this with less mods than others, or perhaps I'm completely scrub with no hope of adequacy, but for me this mission felt far too high a level and improperly scaled. What do others think?

The mission was level 22. I believe the devs expected us to go through a bunch of archwing content and get all the mods before trying to do the quest solo :/

They could have had a warning about the level though, I would never have tried soloing it if i knew that some enemies were lvl 30+, thought htere was probably a label for it somewhere...

I've seen a lot of concern for the difficulty of it. I can definitely see the merit in that concern if people didn't have very sturdy warframes going in. So much of the damage is unavoidable.

That being said, I didn't have any trouble getting through any of the Limbo archwing content. I found them to be very easy solo once I modded up a warframe that could take a beating (Saryn), and got the the +damage and +cold damage for my melee. I used steel charge as well.

No, this is about the Limbo quest.

Your post is about the Archwing portion of the quest being too difficult, which is the equivalent of a new player starting off with their first frame and having no/low-level mods to assist them (which was my point). Not everything is taken literally.

I believe they were trying to refer to just the Limbo quest specifically, not the overall new player experience for Archwing. Which I must agree with them on it being a tad too difficult, I will admit, it presented a fresh challenge that was quite fun to conquer

1-I capture A. Enemies capture , B, C and D in the same time...

2-Conflict... i try to find the last one enemie in space... but don t have nobody... The flag still indicates conflict...

3- We start a mission... all the points already have 20 enemies who can capture more faster than you and have the abilite to just dissaper from your sight and your map.

4- And the bugs... my god... enemies stuck in asteroids and ships...inside of rocks... we stuck in that places too...

5- I swear invisible enemies hit me everytime with invisible missiles... A Rhino shield with max redirection, vigor, vitality, stell fiber, fast deflection and fortitude just goes to 0 in one second... and god... that skill "2" to jaming the missiles never works...

Just to be clear i already end the Limbo quest... solo like the other guys... but god try to do this with friends it s anoying as hell... Correct the bugs, build a better radar and give us something to know where the attacks is come from... like a red arrows shining to alert us and give us time to try to escape.

Give us a icon in the radar showing the mods in space... we lost so many mods because we can t see them in the middle of battle...

And finally give us some resources to grind in archwing missions...

I love the gameplay in archwing i want see the things works but to be honest for now they just pointless for the game itself... more like a "big minigame" to play one or two times just for fun because until now i don t see any reward to us to play this mode... well Limbo is the only one...

the only thing i find unfair about the archwing part of this quest (and uranus interception for that matter) is the insane damage hellions put out per rocket and the amount of enemies that spawn. That needs some tweeking. or maybe buff the friggin AW mods...20%shields 30% health and 6% powerrange extra? really DE? thats nth, a least not when a lvl 22 hellion hits for 800 shielddmg

How about get Carvas and Onoris then potato and mod them and only after that try limbo quest? Everyone seems to try to get Limbo ASAP. It is like starting the game with unranked and no mode Frame and weapons and rush to Pluto. Yes I did it solo becasue when in public poeple go without any mods thinking it will be easy or someone will carry them through

I haven't made it beyond the quest on mars yet-

and that's not because of the difficulty, but because game freezes everytime I try it.

I recommend trying this mission solo - for maximal cap speed.

I made it to 50: 2% for me.... but everytime the game freezes and I have to quit

I would have won. difficult- yes- but if you're lucky, you can do it.

edit:

The int mission on Uranus is a whole new lvl

One thing that seriously needs fixing/ tweek is the cap/conflict distance for mobs.

They can be anywhere far away from the node, and still they would cause a conflict....

That's annoying, because often the conflict is triggered by a glitched mob.

Wasn't that hard until I got to the excavation part. If I solo'd or was stuck with 1 other team member it was really hard to keep the excavator's alive and kicking. when the power runs out and the enemies that drop those power cores are all the way to the other map gives the npc's enough time to kick the living %#(@ out of the excav.

Most of my "team"mates weren't that bright either. fighting random enemies and not staying close to the excav resulted in a lot of down times as I was protecting the excav.

Those power cores weren't close because of the grineer/corpus conflict that happens in the meantime.

Archwing mission was difficult as all Hell but I guess that's what you get for not farming the damage mods needed for level 22-30 enemies, so that one is sort of excusable (although the spawn rates seem pretty crazy even for a well-built archwing).

Still stuck on getting the helmet blueprint though, and I'm just flat out hating it so far. Hard hitting Ballistas and weapon-stealing Dhrak masters on one of the laggiest and annoying to traverse tilesets, and that helmet BP must have a 0.0000005% chance of spawning or something because I must've gone through 50 excavators by now with nothing but pockets full of credit caches and a bullet-riddled body.

Okay ranting done, back to helmet farming (ugh)
