Why Does It Take So Long For Me To Join A Game?

Okay so as of U15 being released i have came across the trouble of not being able to join games. 

Well.. Thats a misguided statement. Infact i can join game sessions however it takes like 5 minutes in the loading screen in order to join.

My friends don't get this problem and its nothing to do with my internet connection. So i believe it is a problem with my account.

 

Has anyone else had this issue?

If so could someone tell me how to fix this please as the waiting is unbearable and i sometimes have to wait so long as till wave 5 in defence to even join successfully.

Same here .. what happens is when I try to join someone it starts loading .. the loading bar gets to 2/3 then then it freezes for like 2 minutes and when it unfreezes again it shows connection to the host has been lost .. i have a bad graphics too and low end pc .. but up until u15 there were absolutely no such problems .. maybe a crash here and there but that was normal.

i personally was fine before u15. I managed to join matches within 10-20 seconds even on a 30kb/s wifi (when there was a storm in my area)

Im just hoping DE really do their best to fix the massive issues wich came with U15, but it's DE. They'll fix it.

i use a windows 7 laptop with 8gb ram and run 64-bit. Will this be fixed for me too?

There have been optimizations made to loadtimes as well I believe. I look forward to your before/after experiences once the update is live to see how they fair in your sessions.

Keep in mind this can also be caused by a bad host. The game does not take into account upspeed when matchmaking, and a slow upload host can take serveral minutes to synchronize with. I get this all the time when I'm doing public games.

If you're getting load times that long, you should definitely try optimizing the game cache from the options screen in the launcher. This made a very big difference for me when I did it after Update 15.

I did the same the other day. Fixed the ~5 minute load times to near instantaneous.

Nope. Optimizing the cache took it down to 3-4 minutes.

 

The game runs pretty smoothly once I'm in (or at least not any worse than before; 15-20FPS). It's just loading the game itself, and loading into missions that takes this long.

After 15.1.0 anf 15.1.01 i am still having issues of 1-2 minutes load times.

 

Edit: For anyone who is having this issue still on a 64-bit system i have found a way to make it speed up. This way was found from methods explained by @Tails-San.

 

Simply go to your options interface on the loader.

These are what i changed them to:

By putting them like this the loading time is increased and made almost instant. As for further issues i am unsure of an unsure and i hope this is fixed for all.
