Narmar
Do i really have to redownload the whole game just to play it on steam? I know that i can just add the launcher as a shortcut but is there another way to officially play the game on steam without having to redownload it? I tried pasting the game in the steamapps folder but it just ignores it and continue with the download >->
Endrance
Yep, you'll have to fully download again. Mostly because steam has their own generated files about if it's a "steam game" or "non-steam game" Edited April 22, 2013 by Endrance
bondKI
You have to copy the folder before you even start the download. Steam only checks for files when you're starting the download for the first time.

Ice_okami
well thats rather pointless to have to download it twice they might want to talk to steam about that get work with them rather than saying. "NAH we can just make people dl it twice so we can update it our way and use steam as advertisement rather than let the application do it's job." This is standard operating procedure for games not downloaded through steam.
gell
When I went to download the Steam version, it verified which files I already had and only took about 30 seconds to download the rest of the files for the Steam version. I already had the non-Steam version installed. My connection is good but it's not so fast that it would have downloaded the entire game in 30 seconds, so it must have found my install and grabbed the extra files it needed.
