Waypoints On Archwing Missions

I don't know if this has already been addressed, but the way-pointing system in the Archwing missions is utterly confusing. I must have spent around 15 minutes bumping into walls stumbling around trying to find that ship core! Could the waypoint system be improved or make the missions (especially the corpus ones) easier to navigate.

In one part of the corpus map, a large space section, to progress to the next area there is a tiny opening in a concealed corner of the 'room'. The waypoint directs to a dead-end, then back to the middle of the 'room' then back to the dead-end and so on.

I agree with OP the way point system in archwing missions needs to be reworked significantly. For the older missions based on foot, it works OK currently with only a few small pointing bugs, but it breaks down when placed into the archwing setting. Not sure if it is because of the "size" difference in the levels, or if it is because it has trouble with the more 3 dimensional aspect of the archwing missions as opposed to the on foot ones.

At any rate I hope DE is looking at this issue, many of the archwing missions are very difficult to navigate through due to this.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was doing archwing sabotage on saturn which is corpus trench run naturally. the waypoints there are kinda buggy too. they start of pointing to several tiles away untill you reach the right tile then the mission waypoint leads you on normally. then after you blow the reactor the same thing happens again and you have to fly in the general direction until the waypoint reconnects to the map.. its extremely frustrating and results in many wrong turns. which isnt good when the ship integrity has been compromised...
