Salutations From A Cryopod

A new recruit here fighting alongside my fellow Tenno in arms, trying to decimate your typical evil intergalactic hegemonic shambling zombie clone empire before these dead-enders have the chance to tear a$$ through the Milky Way with stolen Orokin salt shakers or whatnot. I've been playing Warframe for 3 solid hours straight, and I'm certain of this: I have absolutely no idea what is going on or what I'm supposed to be doing. My friend who intro'd me to Warframe demonstrated his Kill Bill mastery of his slammed-out Frost Prime, and I can't even wrap my head around the PS4 controls. After watching my friend annihilate the opposition like a boss, I knew right then & there that I wanted to bust out of the gate like a freight train on crystal, and I didn't want to spend days grinding out credits and maybe getting a better secondary that those Grineer toads would just laugh at, anyway. I went ahead and bought the Nyx Prime Access Pass. For what I spent on it, the pack should be 101% Beast Mode. I really like Nyx's Power skill set; being able to mind control some bad guys onto my side can help a lot if I get surrounded. The Hikou Prime shiriuken are a lot more powerful and useful than I thought, and the Scindo Prime axe is CQC murder. But like I said, I don't know anything about the systems, crafting, combat, or even a comfortable control scheme. Expect to see a lot of my threads on the Tenno Assistance board. It's nice to meet everyone here, and maybe some of you can help me find a clan or a few folks who wouldn't mind having a trainee to take on a few raids. Happy hunting!

I use PC so I can't entirely relate on control schemes, but I can provide some help.

-crafting is done from a station in your ship, resources for crafting are dropped in missions (orange and blue circle looking things) crafting takes time say I am building hydroid it would take about (never mind I don't know how long) it would take quite some time, stronger items take longer to craft

-for combat, it really depends on your play style, you can get sentinels (I can explain later) that make you invisible when enemies are near then stealth through, or grab the most powerful thing possible and beat the crap out of everyone you see
