Removing the weapons to increase the amount of rep your warframe make sense to me. You have less items to split the xp with.

Glowing like arcane fuel to power the engine of her hatred as she purifies the corrupt that ruined her Warframe and her mind the only way they will ever deserve to be purified. Her ultimate target, Azang Vhu (a bio-mechanical engineer of some considerable renown within the Venus sector) finally before her, cowering, shaking at this burning ember of hate he helped to create. The cameras of his helmet recording, just like they do on every other corpus troop - proxy and man alike for the command team to watch. Watch their friend, their charge Azang dissolve into smoke and light, to melt into the shields of the Tenno; screaming in terror and agony while staring at the burning sigil in her tattered armor all the while. How could they have let a single Tenno, armed merely with a dagger do this! They.. no, they took care of the Red Veil! The board cannot be allowed to hear of it, but they will. As will the rest of the crew. Some way or another. They will know to fear the Red Veil. For the Tenno of the Red Veil will come for them too, in time. 

 

 

Mean while Madame Mirage and Lil' Nova sit perched above the cryopod in an orokin derelict. Plucking meaninglessly at the infested with an arsenal of high explosives big enough to make a fascist faint whilst wearing gold plated underwear and silk grills. The Cephalon Suda emblem stuck to each of their backs as they while away the hours without challenge or flouting their skills...

No. Your frame and weapons get xp even when they're at 30...just kill enemies with your frame and you get way more rep than if you were killing enemies with your weapons.
