What Former Masters? (Arbiters Of Hexis)

When opening up the syndicate tab of the Arbiters a part of what they say is "The Tenno will surpass their former masters".

Now my question is: we will surpass what former masters? The orokin? Didn't they create us because they couldn't do jack S#&$ to the sentient? (Mag prime codex) Aren't we way better than the best orokin troops? Didn't we also kill the orokin for their golden loot?

What former masters do we have to surpass?

They probably mean the Orokin.

As in success or technology wise.

The Orokin made the Tenno as weapons says the lore. And I guess the Arbiters want to break out of that as their role, and be able to do more and surpass what they were made to do.

Orokin were our masters, they created us, they created Void towers, they created all that stuff. We can at most reverse-engineer stuff from other factions or stuff Orokin created.

But we shall surpass them.

We shall craft weapons more powerful than Primes.

We shall create more Tenno on our own.

We shall make the Void obey us.

We shall make the ghosts of Orokin fear our very name.

Probably the Orokin. We might have surpassed them in combat effectiveness, but not in standing. It's implied the Orokin had quite the impressive empire.

Given that it's stated that the Arbiters reject the "Tenno as warriors" idea, they definitely are referring to something other than in combat.

Yes, but didn't we already surpass them by killing them all (Stalker codex)?

But we still look up to them, do we not?

We still use their technology.

We still are only the Tenno that were created by them.

We killed them, but not surpassed. We wiped them out, but using their technology, their weapons and ourselves.

Only when we will be able to create new Tenno, to subjugate the Void, only then we will be better, than our former masters. We shall be self-sufficient, independant from their ancient technology and knowledge.

And we are not emperors like Orokin were, we do not rule anything. We are still but cogs in a machine of war.

The Orokin were a massive empire that ruled over the entire solar system.  The Tenno are just soldiers.  Supersoldiers, yes, but soldiers all the same.

The Arbiters want to fix that.

So the Arbiters want to turn the Tenno into a society?

Can't wait to see a Tenno politician, Tenno salesmen...

Also something else is that the Arbiters of Hexis want to make the Tenno into something more than supersoldiers by  having them excell in combat and kill many, many grineer (along with a siding of corpus, corrupted and infested).

To me, the Arbiters are trying to make us greater rulers than the Orokin were. They want the Tenno to become the new masters of the System.

I disagree with that ideal, as well as their assertion on leaving behind/denying the warrior legacy of the Tenno.

Your with the red veil right?

Because the Veil actually acts to better the system in a way that is practical. They put their lives on the line, no matter who they are outside of the Veil or inside of it, to fight a bloody war to clear the corruption of the Grineer and Corpus from the system and start anew. They're actually doing something in a way that will be able to be met with results; they have the best chance of actually changing the galaxy.

But now I'm hijacking this thread. I need to stop doing that.

Looks like your reputation is following you everywhere

This Syndicate system is amazing, we need more explanation from the devs to make sense of all this

Hey, when you come up with a slogan as awesome as Hail the Veil... at least I didn't inject my OC into this thread like I've done in the past.

But it is so inviting to lampoon it ... "Pail of Fail", "Trail of Wail", "Tale of Frail", "Nail the Jail", "Stale of Kale" (need I go on?)
