Gigatron-Prime
I'm not a programmer and I'm not sure what an A.I. would entail but wouldn't it be a great experiment for DE to give us an actual A.I.? Granted, I wouldn't expect it be like some actual intelligence but some more unexpected, spontaneity would be interesting.

Gelkor
So what, like make Ordis a mix between a text-to-speech program and a chat-bot? Edited October 27, 2014 by Gelkor
Kontrollo
A sufficiently good A.I. is incredibly hard to do. You probably don't want them to invest time into something like that, Ordis is just a gimmick after all.
vaugahn
What do you define as an "actual AI"? Like, sentient enemies? Because our enemies already have AIs, we just kill them too fast for that to even matter.
azour
A cleverbot type Ordis would be funny but it could only work if Ordis didn't have a voice actor Things get expensive yo
rajule
There are some experimental "chat" AI's. There's been numerous experiments connecting them to chatrooms and IM programs to try and fool people into thinking its a real person. Its basically a huge database of topics and responses. I've always thought it'd be interesting for someone to integrate something like that into npc conversations in an rpg for example. So instead of bringing up a menu and selecting pre written questions for the npc you could actually talk with them like a normal person.

SilentCircle
If your definition of AI is something like the "Ghosts in the machine" - random segments of code that have grouped together to form unexpected protocols, then I'd say Warframe is already pretty close. :) Edited October 27, 2014 by SilentCircle

Katakuna
At least then he would maybe get the hint to stop talking so much. Unless he gets the hint, but does it anyway. Or increases the frequency of his dialogue. He might even unmute himself if you try to mute him.
