Why is it even necessary to fight the last few enemies after every wave? (so they can't report back) Report what exactly? The message doesn't go to them it goes to towers and gets transmitted places, report that we were attacking it? They already know that we're attacking it! That's why they keep sending reinforcements and stronger waves of troops in response. It'd kill a host of common bugs and make the gameplay on intercept so much smoother if they just cut this part out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Imaru Posted October 28, 2014 Share Posted October 28, 2014 The gameplay reason for them to die is that enemies standing around during the claim/leave screen is known to cause people to die. A lot (Stalker used to be able to spawn then and people were peeved). As for the "lore" reason, they might have portions of the information (the enemy will often hold a tower to at least 1 or 2 percent). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
