AmaziaTheAmazing
According to the codex, no. There is the chance you can get it from transmutation, but good luck.
Mkilbride
This is pretty crap, considering the mod is almost essential for higher level Inception...
AmaziaTheAmazing
And there are really rare mods that are important for regular missions, it all makes sense really. (and it isn't THAT important, you just need a team is all.)
Mkilbride
Yeah, finding ANY Archwing mods is really hellish right now. You can go 10+ Hours without getting a mod.
Nitresco
From the way it's set up, it seems the player is intended to farm on Earth/Venus/Mercury until they have the really basic mods (and Onorix/Corvas if they prefer those weapons), then move onto farming mods such as Hyperion Thrusters (which takes forever) on all the other planets excluding Uranus. After collecting every essential, they can finally take on Uranus in an attempt to get Elytron (which is still incredibly hard at that point). Sly DE and their methods of tempting you into buying the Archwing with plat.
Vyrn.
Nope. It only drops from Locust Drones and from Transmutation, but the latter eats credits and mods like no other. If you're willing to try to farm for it a bit more, try Galilea, Jupiter (if you aren't already). It's the lowest leveled Corpus Sabotage, and it's pretty easy to get a few Carriers in a hallway. If you're expecting a long haul, bring a frame with high shields and either Energy Siphon or Rejuvenation. You can just use Energy Shell if your shield gets low, so you won't take too much health damage. That's what I did, at least, and it worked pretty well. I got 3 Carriers to hold still <100m away and shot Locusts as they spawned. It took like 200 Locust kills on that mission for it to drop (after having gotten around 300 kills on another). AmaziaTheAmazing
I rarely go a mission without picking up a mod of some kind. the drop rates seem to be about the same as the frame missions, but the enemy density is a bit lower. End result, do lots of runs in a party with somebody using loot monkey aura, somebody will find something.
Mkilbride
I am. I'm on Jupiter, that oen yo umentioned. Rhino. 1500 shields, 800HP. Jus shooting them as they spawn. It's easy. Got like 8 Sudden Impacts though. I've only managed to get one Carrier at a time though...where do you get 3? That sounds ideal. SilentCynic
I have killed at least 1200 locust drones, and I have yet to receive Hyperion Thrusters. I have, however, gotten about five Rubedo-Lined Barrels and around a dozen Sudden Impacts. Also, for those who are farming Locusts, try using Repel on the Carriers (Be wary on low levels if your archwing is maxed, since the damage might kill them if they're too weak), as it disables their guns, allowing you to farm to your heart's content, or until the lack of drops drive you to madness. Edit: In addition, while spawns remain random, there seems to be a higher chance to encounter a few carriers close to extraction, which increases the rate of Locusts considerably. Mkilbride
Oh, thanks for that Tip about Repel. He barely survived - but he did...and now no longer annoyingly shoots me.
Nitresco
I've only managed to get one Carrier at a time though...where do you get 3? That sounds ideal. Not sure how you do it on Jupiter, but on the Neptune Sabotage mission, you can usually get 3 Carriers bunched up together in the hallway leading to the ship reactor. Rather easily, I might add. Don't forget to shoot the arms off any Gox you find on your way there.
Mkilbride
Neptune, I see, I'l llook into that. Gox? Don't know about em. Repel made this alot more relaxing.
AmaziaTheAmazing
As far as I can tell, locust spawns are really inconsistent. I had a mission with 4 people, each of us farming our own sets of carriers, one was getting constant spawns, one got one every time he left the tile and came back, one got one every 30 seconds or so, and one got nothing... it was odd. I think it MIGHT have something to do with aggro range and tiles, but I don't really know.
Nitresco
Gox? Don't know about em. Big metal box with two arms. Hard to miss. Shoot the arms off and it self-destructs in a cloud of Locusts.
Mkilbride
Ahh..havent' seen those on Jupiter, then Just found two Carriers. Gonna be here for abit. See how it goes.
AngelGuardcc
Well What we saw in our runs was that....Carriers spawn infinite drones....just dont kill the spawner and yeah, you know the rest ( i dont know if this was intended or not, i asked council several times and no one bothered to answer me nor help me test it). We spent like 40 mins Farming 2 Carriers....then we gave up and in the way to the exit we found a Gox that spawned drones....THEN WE GOT HYPE THRUSTERS....we all went nuts lolol. (that was our second sabotage mission on Uranus).
