So, I Am A Little Disappointed About The Limbo Theorem...

Simply because there is no mathematics questions for us to solve to the next step (maybe simple cryptography puzzles could be done to reveal the location [solve the code to reveal the location]), like Mirage's riddles and such.

What do you other players think?

I agree I didn't like just doing hard archwing missions to get "proof fragments" and then doing earth extraction missions forever just to get the pieces. No thought involved, no puzzles, not enough magic in the quest to get the magic frame.

well we have an AI to help us, a true AI would be able to calculate even the most complex maths known to man right now in less than microsecond

but sure a puzzle of some kind for novelty sake would be fun i guess

And why did Ordis not help us solve all those riddles for Mirage's quest as well, based on that train of thought?

Most people would just google the answers anyway. No real point lol

I mean, does anyone really think the majority of players would figure out Charybdis? Come on now.

Though I'd be able to judge the quest better if I did the mission.

But interception is a god damn stupid mode.

It is the effort that counts.

I mean, with the Internet, walkthroughs are going to be posted anyways.

Me too. Even though walkthroughs are going to be posted anyways, I would be nice to let people who actually want to calculate it out to do it.

It would be much more boring if Mirage's quest was just go there, do stuff ,go to another place, do stuff.

When it's just something that's either an easy answer or better done by googling, it's a pointless addition. I'd rather have something that's fun, interesting or a test of skill that can't be solved by googling the solution.

Right. So that means most puzzle-based video games can just pack up and go home, since the puzzles can be better done by Googling (and subsequently walkthroughs), based on that train of thought.

And who says puzzles are not fun? Heck, one example of fun puzzles is the Elemental Quest series in Runescape, especially the third and fourth instalments. Just hours of me drawing up diagrams to find out patterns and such, without any look into the walkthrough.

Well the Mirage Quest line involved riddles about ancient times, remember that Ordis has no memory of the War or before, meaning that those ancient times were lost to him, only people from during and before the War (like the Tenno) would have known.

I'd rather have "something" than just more grind, after doing 3+ missions with nonsense credit rewards and nothing else, and actually realizing that the mission IS called "Theorem" I'd expect a bit more out of them.

Especially considering how "quests" were implemented to give the game something different than more grinding.

Counterpoint is that Ordis has access to knowledge of the history of Ancient Earth. Ordis just has no memories of the Old War.

I would prefer an actual puzzle to the garbage grinding they're calling content. It is lame as is, and the scaling is a pathetic way to ramp up the challenge. Just another stupid grind wall that is neither fun nor particularly unique in concept.

Not everyone would be able to solve a satisfyingly difficult math problem. For me, a difficult math problem involves Calculus. Someone else might struggle with polynomials. Some would inevitably find it too difficult and others would find it insultingly easy.

Simple answer to the OP: Because it can't involve math without screwing over some of the players.

Offer a puzzle to pinpoint the extraction location for the Limbo part or just keep grinding.

And 90% of the players are probably just going to go for the grind.

At least, this is the trend I see with video game players: Less use of thinking (and yes, I am being a bit of a hypocrite).

Which the same can be said for the Mirage riddles.

Agreed, which actually impacted my overall enjoyment of the quest. I enjoyed the lore of the quest (Mirage's story) but I felt that I was forced to use trial and error or the wiki to complete the quest.
