Directx Problem

ok since my friend is being a #$&(% and not wanting to find the problem. im here :3

Sooo He can get the loader up. But once he clicks play. It goes to a black screen. AndAfter a few moments it seems as if the game crashes but an error comes up saying DirectX9 Was not found on this machine or something like that.

 

He went and tried to install directX 9. And didnt work. Went to update to 11. But says he is already up todate...

How do we fix this?

Have you tried running the game using an alternative version of DirectX? You can swap versions in the launcher by clicking the little gear icon at the top-right corner of the window. If it says DX9, try DX11 and vice versa.

 

You may also want to make sure that you are downloading the latest version of DirectX 11 from the appropriate location.

Ill give the second link to my friend. But still He plays other games like league that made him download directX11... so i figure he can run it... But still We have done the cog wheel settings on the loader. didnt work. somebody said try windowed mode. Tried it. 

Just we are so mind boggled at what is stopping Him. all we want to do is play Warframe and support how good the game is. But for whatever reason. Its bugging out on him.

I read elsewhere that someone with this issue solved their problem by disabling 64-bit support in the launcher options. It's worth a shot, just a few clicks to try.

Black screen means your pc is not processing visual data from your GPU.

 

Click Start --> Run --> Type: dxdiag --> hit Enter

Check the direct X version and write that down.

 

Click start --> Control Panel --> System -- Device Manager --> Display Adapters.

Write down your card.

Open Browser then type in the name of your card and see what direct X it supports.

 

Make sure the direct X you can handle is installed.

Make sure your card drivers are up to date,this can be done from the site.

Driver version is under Device manger --> Display Adapters --> Right Click --> Properties -- Drivers.

Make sure version is the latest, compare with the drivers on the manufacturer website.

 

If not just uninstall Direct X then install Direct x again.
