Event Status Mods Are Too Powerful/advantageous To Remain Exclusive For This Long

Hello everyone, another feedback topic here.  Now before someone flames me for "asking for event mods simply because I missed the events", just going to give some credentials/info about myself.

-The ONLY "Status Event Mods" I've missed is Tethra Doom Event.

-I am a Conclave regular (this info will become important).

-I'm so flippin close to mastery 11 10

Having played Warframe through-and-through, and simply leveling all the weapons I get my hands on for mastery at this point, I got into PVP and T4 missions for more Fusion cores.

It is with this interest in PVP and high-level missions that more and more players inform me of the fact that they missed one, two, or maybe even three of the events for status mods, which can become key parts of any weapons builds.

The obvious remark any normal person makes is, "Well, you shouldn't have missed the event."

But it has also come to my attention that, at the rate they are "re-releasing" these event mods, the slash mods will not come out for another FIVE YEARS. Which, since DE seems to have has the intention of re-releasing these mods, why should players - who are currently playing - lose out to this slow-as-hell process of re-release.

These mods make or break PVP builds - and yes, there are players who take PVP rather seriously, but we save that discussion/flame for other threads - as well as PVE builds...

So I'm curious if you guys agree/disagree, should DE simply release the event mods quicker, or are you game for waiting X years for the mods to come back out?

All in due time. The Cicero Crisis mods have been added to Corrupted Captain Vor, so just wait and the rest will soon follow.

Yes, but that is my point, it has been like ... what? ... half a year? a full year?  And the mods haven't cycled?

My point is that, at the rate it is going, the cycle won't hit Slash mods for many many years.

-I MISSED THE THERTA EVENT MODS QQ.

-I i play pvp so im entitlet to stuff other ppl arent!

-I'm am only rank 10

fixed it for yea... alltho i agree 5 years 2 reintroduce mods is a bit long... 6-12 months would be better...

Then how are you going to propose releasing the mods without:

A: Being too easy to obtain.

B: Being too tedious to obtain.

hehehe, this is the tough part.  I'm great at pointing out problems, but my solutions are lack-luster or flat-out non-existent.

My idea is simply add the mods to Lephantis, Corrupted Vor, and Vay Hek and have them cycle much more quickly (each half-update?)

"special" mods lose their special-ness when everybody has one.

You'll either see a 'Buff' to enemies to counter that mod, or a nerf to the mod and/or frame to facilitate the mod.

I've missed a crapload of events. But im not too fussed. I don't need to put out the most damage, nor do need to have the longest lasting ability. Metrics are metrics, the "inefficient" methods still do the job well enough.

Vay Hek has a rather bad RNG wall to it, so introducing mods to that is a bit of a slap to the face for players.

Corrupted Vor already has his Tethra Mods, but he could afford to have another set (Tethra, for Corrosive irony).

Lephantis can have Fire (again, for humorous irony).

And the new Orokin Sabotage minibosses can drop the Gate Crash mods.

Once again, my solutions sorta suck.  Open to suggestions!

Also: wasn't it ironic that we got fire mods from Breeding Grounds (all infested)? Might as well continue the trend.

Frankly I've been waiting for them to do just this, there's no reason not to re-release them out into the wild. I'd like to see them added to dark sector missions to make them more appealing and better representative of high quality mission nodes that people fight for control of.

Also these mods are not special shinies for people that were here for the events, these are high quality mods that are meant to be earned by players(if this wasn't the case the cicero mods wouldn't have been added to corrupted vor a TIV Void boss). They just don't have a place in the game yet, consider the events as early access.

This. So much this.

They could always just distribute them into the offerings pool of the different syndicates.

That's a possibility too, although people have already chosen syndicates... so it's a little late to throw those in xD

No one should be forced to play PvP for event mods, that idea is just awful lol. PvP only gear/mod will never happen on Warframe thankfully.

U15.5 - void trader, make all prior event mods purchasable by expending prime part tokens. the older the event mod, the less it costs

(eg: 1 year old mod costs X, 1 month old mod costs 12x)

some super rare mods are not included, eg: primed chamber (bc DE likes it like that).

Or they could just be nice and add them into the drop system for various enemies. Holding onto to them for this long just damage the game in the way that new players will never have any fun. Right now the only way to get some of those mods is to play T4 Survival or Defense to encounter Corrupted Vor.

It's kinda ridiculous. Why would anyone defend it? Oh wait they want to feel special. They don't care about anyone else but themselves.

The only one I'm missing is the fire version and that event was like 4 months ago. There is little reason to even play the game if they keep holding onto these mods that are so useful.

T 4 assassinations with corrupted versions of already in game bosses come to mind which would be the quick and dirty solution.

Better would be to introduce some new bosses for T 1 , T 2, T 3, T 4, basically add assassination to the mission pool of void missions which could drop those mods.

I don't even like pvp but I have to agree you are at a disadvantage.

Months ago I responded to a similar thread by "they'll be here, just wait", but damn, DE are taking way too long (and this is coming from someone who hasn't missed a single event reward).

Could add the event mods up to and including the Cyrotic Front mods to the sabotage mini bosses, one event mod set to each mini boss as there are 3 of them. As the sabotage mini bosses doesn't have anything currently in their drop tables.

Then the Gate Crash event mods could be added to the next upcoming mini boss (might be the juggernaut).
