Warframe Needs To Get A Little Bit More Ninja Like!

Look I don't know how much similar threads there are like this one, and won't be giving any effort to search out threads like this, why? I'm lazy! xD

Anyways!

Warframe is one awesome game! No argument with that from me! But in my opinion, I think it could at least get a better ninja feel to it! Isn't that supposed to be the main attraction to this game? Or am I wrong? I like the whole space ninja idea, its frikin awesome! But could there be added a little bit more of a stealth aspekt to the game please?

Yes, mowing down endless waves of enemies is fun in so many ways! But it get's boring after a while, and then I just tend to wait until something new is shows its face in the game or a major update, like the recent ones, reveals itself! Or until a new event is released!

The only thing I'm trying to bring through with this is that Warframe could use some more competitive gameplay by adding some more of a stealthy ninja feel to it. No I'm not suggesting DE should take away the entire enemy mower concept, and yes I know what I'm asking is another HUGE project to take on! But I think its worth it!

I think that adding a more stealthy ninja element to the game by adding better parkour elements to the game like more parkour routes to get around the map or to advantage points, maybe a cover taking system with better enemy AI system that let's them be more "alert" when it comes to you (the player) trying to go stealth the entire mission! I mean come on!

Grineer 1:"Hey man, how was your day?"

Grineer 2:"Not bad, just really quiet!"

Suddenly arrow flies through grinder 1's head and sends him flying into a wall!

Grinder 2 looks at it for a while and then returns to his patrol.

SERIOUSLY!?

Yes its funny! But really! Not having the guy get alerted by that is just stupid!

I know its one HUGE-&#! project to take on but I think adding or revising the stealth system would make Warframe a little bit more fun and competitive!

Please reply with your thoughts to this and maybe some ideas to add.

Thanks for reading!

Stealth shots so alert enemies who see it... some times. And I don't know whether this is a bug or a feature, but enemies that were alerted and reset still keeps their alerted sight range, meaning they spot you like an alerted one would, but otherwise keep on their patrol route.

More traversal routes would be an awesome thing, considering there's usually no avoiding walking through an open area for most tiles.

And stealth had always been Warframe's weakness. Whether or not the vaunted Stealth2.0 comes at all, and how effective it is remains to be seen. But until then, stealth seems to be second fiddle.

Honestly, I think stealth is something we should stop fixating on.

Our entire kit is geared towards aggression. Off the top of my head, there are only two frames and maybe a dozen weapons that could be called stealthy, and even then just barely. When it comes down to it, in both gameplay and lore stealth is not the focus for the Tenno.

Instead of adding a stealth system, we should make the "parkour run-and-gun with superpowers" gameplay better.

Kanda agree with you but you have to consider Warframe as a beta game that means it's still being built.

And Ash wasn't enough?

I wouldn't be posting this if the wasn't in beta, I'm just trying to draw some attention to te stealth aspect of the game.

Yes Ash and even Loki are both very good Stealth frames if you look at their abilities and mod them right, but then again there is only two stealth-like frames.

Well then I haven't noticed the alertness of enemies. Whether I'm playing with Rhino or Saryn or Ash, going stealth with all of them is kind of stupid due to the low alertness of enemies! Or I'm just dense enough not to notice it.

I agree with you that there needs to be more parkour routes to traverse the maps with!

I was kind of expecting this, no offense man.

But I'm not saying we should take away the entire aggressive play style out of the game! I just think that a more stealthy feel here and there, well in a lot of places in the game would be nice and a bit more competitive!

Besides DE already has some elements in the game which they can use to incorparate stealth play! For instance the Corpus cameras, instead of just letting them activating annoying lasers and turrets let them set of the lvl1 alarm, or at least add in a cerian type of objective that requires more stealth play than just gunning down enemies.
