Pacheon
Everyone knows the Module Cards at our mod collection. Does anyone has a clue on, which program they could have been used? And how progressed there to create that effect? Would like to test some stuff. :)
Gryphticon
It's pretty easy, they took 2 images at different angles and made the transition between those two frames smoother using maybe some in-game code. I used to do that when slowing down videos in After Effects because when you slow down videos, there are less frames per second, meaning you will see some sort of lag. So I used a plugin (I don't remember what the name was) to smooth the transition between frames. I'll probably edit when I find a link but I doubt anyone would like to use After Effects, a pretty expensive software.

Those mod cards were made out of one single 2D layer. If you swipe it to the right, you will see a kind of "cut" there: (not a pretty precise work here DE! :P) I could get AfterFX, but should know as well how to use this feature and as well implement it into a kind of animated dynamic web application/division. Was the additional plugin a so called "Mocha"? Edited October 30, 2014 by Pacheon

Though I don't know how it would be duplicated on a website. You'll have more luck converting a video into numerous frames and running it with some kind of code (most likely Java).
