nzzero
I feel that in such fast paced game, having your character to stand still while using powers does not fit well. Its not a problem with the 4th, "ultimate" power, as it usualy clears the room/incapacitates enemies/stops the damage. The last power is also the most epic-looking so fitting "im a god now" animation works well with that. But the first three powers should be usable anytime, with no animation delay whatsoever. I would like to electrocute enemies with volt as i sprint past them or put a health leech on an enemy as trinity just as im about to punch them in half. Pausing for a good second or so, when the whole room is unloading their gorgons on you is not healthy.
NihilisticGoliath
I think a small pause is warranted to use the skills. Sure, it's a bit of a hassle, but it also forces you to choose where and when to activate what power. It makes for a more tactical experience, instead of just having buttons that kill things with no risk.
Kreddi
I agree that some of the animations there is right now it too long (especially on Ember, Excalibur didn't feel so bad) however there should still be a small pause
Aggh
For the lesser powers I agree. It's pointless and just makes them even less useful than they already are.
Ronyn
Each power needs to have a pause or not based on the power itself. Like how Ash needs to throw that shuriken faster for it to be as useful as its intended to be.
Menoetius
I agree that lots of the lesser powers shouldn't have a binding animation, especially things like Fireball, Shock, and Shurikan. I don't really have a problem with the cast time, just that I have to sit completely still while I do it, disrupts the flow of gameplay quite a bit, I'd love running down a hallway throwing fire! :D
