Defense with zombies

So i got a defense mission with infected enemies, the only problem that they can only melle attack so I jumped at the top of a box and I just shooted them.One of them attacked the middle thing once, but then he just standed near it.

I've seen some grineer twister blade guys bashing the artifact. Others seem to nonchalantly do everything else except that.

A nice even distribution between guys who destroy the artifact and guys who kill you would be nice.

So, I was playing defense, I forget on which map/zone.

I found out the melee units as well as the tank units (Of the infected class, unsure of the name) will stop attacking you if you jump up on the crates. It made the defense mode SO easy, and I assume this is some sort of bug/glitch, considering it basically removed any challenge, as well as fun from the mission.

Am I the only one this has happened too?

Definitely will be fixed, we know of this issue (happens to us too!)

The infestation really either need some form of short but ranged attack or they need to be able to climb boxes. This problem combined with the quasi bug where the crawling infestation get stuck inside the thing you're defending and kill it, makes it very easy for someone to solo farm the drops as at higher difficultly you often get 2-4 drops per wave and you don't usually fail the mission till the 2nd or 3rd last wave giving you around a dozen drops sometimes more.

Definitely. Infestation + Defense = rangless attacks and a known issue with that mission type.

Infection arent directly attacking the artifact but then if you stay too close the ones that pop will damage the artifact and also those Toxic ones will cause poison damage to the artifact if they get close to it but then as for Grineer and Corpus both seems fine, I always see some Grineer shotting the Artifact or even throwing granades on it Corpus too.

I'm guessing that all the 3 enemies are set to first attack the closest "object" or player near to it's spawn spot or at last it seems that way to me o.o
