Helmet Conversion Questions

Hello, I've never changed the helmets on any warframe, but I just finished building Ember warframe after the 72h wait, and I see two helmet conversions.

 

I built Ember because I like high damage warframes, but I want to know if the default helmet is the best or one of the conversions for just pure damage output. Also, when you convert a helmet, can you convert it back or do you have to craft a new one?

Arcane helmets are discontinued, you can only trade them with other players. If you found an alternative helmet on alert - it is purely cosmetic.

Ok, I was just looking at the market and it says you can get a conversion for 1000 credits, that is just cosmetic? I'm not sure how this works?

Conversion is just to make your make your helmet with stats into one that has no stats. Not a cosmetic. Cosmetics pop up often on alerts.

Conversion is used to convert Arcane helmets into statless helmets. It is not a cosmetic item, it is only used to remove stat tradeoff from Arcane Helmets.
