An Option To Revoke Clan/alliance Chat Privileges From Individual Players

A simple permission to let alliance leaders or clan leaders, revoke clan/alliance chat privilege from players who are saying disrespectful things or spamming alliance chat. Right now the only way to deal with this problem is to find out what clan they're in, hope the clan leader is on, ask the clan leader to either stop him or expel him from clan; and if the problem is really bad and the clan leader won't remove him the entire clan might get removed from the alliance(in extreme situations).

The current system doesn't seem very effective, when all we want is that individual player to not be able to post in the more public chat windows. So a similar function to the ignore option for alliance leaders would make a lot of sense, and be a perfect solution to many issues that arise in alliances and clans for that matter.

Of course that person will still be able to talk in squad chat and PM his friends. He can even PM the alliance leaders and apologize to get his chat privileges reinstated. If he chooses to continue attacking someone through PM that person can always just ignore him.

Please post any issues you see arising from this option, and whether you think it should get added to the game.

Giving alliance leaders that power is way to abusable for it to be legit fair. Clan leaders are a different story. Though i can not support alliance leaders given the power to basically mute a whole clan.

ignore the player, this is the internet not a dictatorship, if you don't like someone ignore them.

A alliance is a system that is not ruled by 1 Tenno, every tenno is part of the alliance. :/ Having 1 person have control over who he wants to talk in clan/alliance chat is way to abuse able.

I haven't got an alliance, but the idea sounds good.

Although in an alliance with more clans, you probably wouldn't be able to decide what other clans are seing in their chat.

If we have clan A, B, and C in an alliance, and Guy1 from Clan A is making a fool of himself in the chat, then the a leader/officer from Clan B can block him, on behalf of the entire clan, in the clan/alliance chat. Clan C would stille be able to see his messages.
It'd probably work like a clan-wide /ignore.

Why not just kick them? If you don't like them just kick them from your clan. >.>

Or ignore the player, this is the internet not a dictatorship, if you don't like someone ignore them.

Things are not as simple as that when running clans. If someone is causing trouble but is normally cool then suspending their chat gives them time to cool off, versus just kicking them and severing ties.

Its kinda like the reason why we dont insta ban someone here on the forums just because they broke a rule once

I am perfectly fine with clan leaders having that power, but not alliance leaders.

I LOVE IT!

however if DE Steve was here he would say something like "I'm afraid that kind of thing would be abused" so he promised us a reputation system that still has not been implemented............

I have seen many instances where one person has chosen to cause issues within alliance chat. And there is nothing anyone can really do about it except ask everyone to ignore him(which often doesn't happen) or hope his clan leader stops him. Like a clan leader has a responsibility to monitor his own clan for people who cause trouble, alliance leaderS should have the power to properly monitor the alliance chat.

The person who is no longer able to post is still able to read alliance chat and PM people, he's just not allowed to render the chat useless by spamming or publicly attacking people.

Alliance leaders technically rule over the Alliance chat. They should be able to ban players from alliance chat. it's absolutely illogical that Alliance leaders can't have that power while clan leaders can. Besides, it's only Alliance chat.
