Kicking Around The Idea Of Building A Prime Frame...

Been thinking about it for a bit and still unsure. Personally I think primes are more cosmetic than anything else. Ya there's that extra polarity slot and some stamina changes but is it really worth it?

My current frames are Frost(my main), Oberon, Nova, and Saryn. Been tossing Frost Prime or Rhino Prime back and fourth. But building one of them depends on if its worth it lol.

Definitely worth building Rhino Prime, no Forma can give you that 0.1 bonus speed. Frost Prime? Purely cosmetic aside from the bonus polarity, but IMO the regular Frost looks better.

To be perfectly honest, prime frames are more about showing off how much effort you've invested into the game to get them as they aren't always easy to get. They are to an extent there to "make filthy casuals jealous".

 

Using them particularly when speedrunning void missions where you get energy from death orbs is usually better because you offer more to the team, and while you can polarize / mod your normal frames to be just as good, the tiny bonuses from primes sometimes go a long way compared to their normal counterparts.

 

Personally once i get the prime variant the normal one gets sold, but take it this way, if you have the prime  and the normal variants, you're looking at 8 revives a day for that frame type :D

My same thought about Frost vs Frost Prime. Those arches on the prime helm look stupid. I thought Frost Prime also had a sprint and stamina boost just like Rhino Prime got? Sorry if I seem like I'm leaning toward Frost Prime as I'm not, I just want to make the right choice and I'm trying to compare both primes

really? looks better? THEY'RE THE SAME, frost p just have BLING in his helm, take that off and you'll get a normal frost, but his prime helm is totaly bad@$$ so it's dam sure worth it :D

I don't care much for Primes, but I've kept one Prime frame, just for my shelf, and that's Loki Prime.

Rhino's universally good.

 

Frost is (arguably) only good on defense and excavation.

 

Since you already got Frost, I'd suggest Rhino Prime, however getting the regular Rhino for mastery wouldn't hurt either.

Its mostly about who you are. yeah. they have an extra polarity and tend to have some minor (sometimes major) stat changes. but the main difference honestly is appearence. I personally use ember prime and Ember is slightly stronger than original. Ive never used frost or rhino prime but i have played with many and can tell theyre slightly stronger than the original counterpart. so its up to you really.And if you have a good PUG then you should little problem farming for the prime parts.
