Decebalvs
Hi, I was looking at Destiny and what comes to my mind first is Warframe + those graphics/scale etc, you get the point. Now, no offense devs, but your engine is either old or limited, or something and things are moving fast regarding graphics and overall engine capabilities. Yes graphics matter for me. Regarding gameplay, Destiny is like the result of some spoiled brats full of money, wasted resources/potential and has nothing on Warframe. I don't even think i will buy Destiny if it comes out on PC... Now drop Warframe gameplay with all its huge variety (this doesn't include the tilesets/places...) and constant support into Destiny and watch it go. To get to the point... Will you consider at some point moving the game gradually into another/new engine while supporting Warframe OR consider Warframe 2? Maybe some will say "what?????" but personally i don't know if going to the same rooms/places, seeing the same models over and over again, is going to provide much more entertaiment from some point on...a took a long break some time ago specially because of that. Thank you.
quan256
The game isn't even out of beta yet (and probably will stay like this for a long time).
vaugahn
"what?????" Couldn't have said it better myself. Warframe's graphics are slowly improving. They're starting to use PBR, and the new tilesets, especially Europa, are a huge step up in graphical quality. Switching engines is totally unnecessary. Aumann
There's not really need to migrate to a new engine, just create new higher detail models and textures. Unless the core game was gonna change the engine is fine as-is.
Angius
Seeing how DE slowly implements completely new lightning model and shaders on metallic items, while increasing the performance at the same time, I'd say, that the Evolution Engine wiell... Well... Evolve.
(PSN)IIIDevoidIII
"Moving out of an engine" will require an almost total redevelopment, so I don't see this happening. There may be optimisations that allow for greater graphical output within the engine itself, like PBR experimentation, but not a transfer. Moved to a more appropriate section. ToxicTroublermaker
Destiny may been graphically superior engine wise, but thats it. The graphics capabilities of the Evolution engine are a VERY close second to destinys, BUT DE has made just about every tileset a thing of beauty despite the engine they use. And besides that they built the engine themselves on a low budget most likely so gotta give em credit Idk about you but I enjoy warframes maps a helluva lot more than destinys
LordBeeBrain
Destiny may look better than Warframe, but at least Warframe isn't just an empty shell of a game bent on selling you DLCs.
Ronyn
Graphics aside.... A Warframe equivalent to Destiny's patrol mode is something I'd like to see. That would require the same seamless matchmaking systems that Destiny has so it may be out of the cards at this point. But it would be pretty sweet. Other than that there really isn't anything from Destiny I'd like to see coming over to Warframe. Destiny was fun and all but Warframe is just MORE. Letter13
Destiny [...] scale Destiny has scale? This must be a joke... please tell me you're joking. I think both games look fantastic. I like Destiny for its gritty and decrepit environments and the neat gun/armor designs (and the swiss cheese it was clearly based off of)... but I also like Warframe because of the frames' designs, the PhysX effects and the aesthetic. Sure I could see some Destiny things working very well in Warframe (Archwing "Patrol" missions is something I pitched as a fan concept a while back), but in terms of a graphics engine Warframe doesn't really need a new one; the existing engine is fine as is. .Monarch
Warframe is a free to play game, cater to all types of players who are interested in this genre. Which includes rich and poor players. Mindlessly boosting and shoving Graphic development higher is unnecessary and will only have a down side to those who can't keep up with the hardware. Warframe is actually one of the very few F2P games that excels in graphics. If you still think WF graphic isn't 'good enough' you might want to get your eyes checked instead. Because these 2 are 1 thing that never happened.

JohnProdman
Why does everyone compare Destiny and Warframe? There's a group of gamers out there that like one game and want to make every other game more like it. Think about the stereotype involving Call of Duty players where they go onto gaming forums and suggest a bunch of things in order to make it 'more like CoD.' This is still a form of that, in a way. Totally different things in my case, i don't know about the others... Suggesting something while offering an example from other games or even movies doesn't make it what you said. Halisi
Do you even play Warframe with the max settings in 1080p? From watching videos from a year ago with these settings it looks way better than destiny's graphics in my opinion, imagine it now. Even playing with everything turned off in 1366x768 looks fantastic. Um also you're kinda comparing a console game with a limited capacity for graphics to a pc game that can continuously update its graphics.
vaugahn
Ok, i guess "open spaces" is more accurate. Oh, we have those too. Keep in mind my graphics are set very low. Turn them up and you'll be suitably impressed.

The grineer tileset looks like quake no matter the settings.

Yeah see I was looking at those and when you said your graphics were set to low I was flabbergasted. Maybe a smidge of aliasing, but that aside the game's environments are really quite stunning, and they look great.
CY13ERPUNK
Why does everyone compare Destiny and Warframe? i think its completely fair to compare and contrast two incredibly similar games in the same genre with similar settings/backdrops now does every silly yokel make fair comparisons and/or draw useful conclusions from them? certainly not, but that is by no means an argument against comparing them in the first place the massive amount of 'next-gen gamers' out there who want to make everything like CoD or WoW (or any other copycat FPS/MMORPG) becuz those are the only games that they are familiar with (and silly ppl are afraid of differences or change), are just silly ppl with a lack of perspective, sadly, that same group spends a ton of $$$, thus the ppl making the financial decisions at many video game companies pay a lot of attention to what the sheep say they want =/ Edited November 4, 2014 by CY13ERPUNK

Decebalvs
Just a heads up, i'm not comparing Warframe to some south coreean FTP fps that comes out every week with a different name, i see it as something else in the FTP world, that's why i have interest in it. I'm using the old aliasing option, and the lowest possible texture and shadow settings. Turning them up removes the tiled textures and uniform lighting, but it totally nukes my computer. I hope you're not serious. I am. Destiny got slammed hard for too many enclosed areas. Warframe's outdoor tiles are quite nice, if a bit laggy sometimes.
