Dwarfstar
Limbo is great. But here's how to make him better. Remove Rift Surge. Banish and Cataclysm now automatically provide the scaling damage debuff that would be applied by Rift Surge. Overpowered? Nova already does this, and Molecular Prime is also a CC, and can cause chain reactions- it's already flat-out better. Skill 3 becomes: Rift Gateway: Create a static portal at the target location. Friendly units ( and only friendly units ) can use it to pass into and out of the Rift. Same size as Nova's Wormhole, the size is not affected by power range. QOL Improvement: You can now cancel Cataclysm by hitting 4 while the effect is running. QOL Improvement: Add some type of effect to draw attention to the fact that being in the Rift increases your energy regen. Maybe have the value pulsate or glow, or both. QOL Improvement: Your shots have infinite punchthrough on opponents who are not in the same plane as you. Bonus List: Fun things to do with Limbo right now: Riftwalk and move into a group of enemies. Watch them all agro and try to kill you, while your teammates cut them down. Teammate down? Riftwalk over to them and revive. If surrounded, Banish your teammate when he gets up and then moonwalk out of there. Teammate using a channeled ability, or need to do some power use under fire? Banish them. Warframe abilities pass out of the rift. Bonus points for Banishing Banshee while she's Soundquaking. There's a big group of dudes over there, and one of them is an Arson Eximus. Riftwalk, passing through his AOE ( you won't get knocked down ), run right up to him and Banish. He gets knocked down, you execute him with a melee attack. Mod up your Torid. Riftwalk, Rift Surge, lay down a wall of deadly gaseous death. But wait, the effect is in the Rift! When you're done, drop a Cataclysm on the area and walk away. Insane giggling optional ( but recommended ). Surrounded? Ammo depleted? Riftwalk, Reload, Reposition. Simple way to make Cataclysm super useful: Max Stretch, Max Overextended. The bubble is now huge. HUGE. Just drop it where everyone is fighting and Rift Surge. Give everyone a massive damage boost. Sorry guys, but I think this one is a keeper: Hallway heroes getting you down? Dat Banish. Even better than Switch Teleporting. Smart heroes will still spam ability uses.. but if they didn't bring Carrier and you're quick, you -might- be able to prevent them from getting orbs. Post things I haven't though of! Archistopheles
Gateway would still be redundant. Limbo doesn't need it.
Dwarfstar
It's not for Limbo- it's for his teammates. It just makes it so they can dodge into and out of the Rift at will, without having to walk into a Cataclysm, and would give a way to cancel being Banished. Archistopheles
It wouldn't end the trolling. You could put those portals on doorways and keep players out of entire areas.
7grims
Not enought, sorry but the problem of limbo its that his abilities are pure dependence of one another, in other words, most of his abilities dont have any use on their own. Making all his set of abilities a gimmick, they do the same useless stuff, but on different parameters. Creating that ability "Rift Gateway" would be the same as he is now, another mandantory ability you are forced to use, in order for any of the others to have meaning/use. Like the idea of canceling cataclism, but that would make more sense if his ability works by spending energy overtime wile it is on, just like mirage, banshee, and nyx ultimates. ObsidianRaven
Have no idea if this is related to Limbo himself, or if it's just the player is learning his frame or what, but I'm constantly having to pick up off the ground Limbo frames as they stand there waiting on their abilities to do whatever it is they are supposed to do. I'm a tank-like frame in nearly all the missions I play, but Limbos nearly always cause problems, either going down constantly, or keeping resources (especially ammo and the all important energy orbs) from being used. Sometimes that's a major problem and headache with zerg rush enemies like infested. I defend them as much as I can, but in the end, Frost or Rhino can only do so much to keep them alive. Run out of either ammo or energy at an inopportune time even with an enemy appropriate melee weapon, and bye bye Limbo! Cool top hat though, very fashionable. Archistopheles
If you've ever played League of Legends, ObsidianRaven, you'll notice that when new Champions come out, people tend to play them too much, and die too much. Plus, in this game, we have to level our gear from 1 to 30, so experienced players will try to level their rank 0 frame in Ceres, and then wonder why they keep dying. Never played them, and really have not much patience for people that level grind. However, these two i have specifically in mind were lvl 30 frames on a pluto defense alert, infested. Both Limbos just weren't cutting the ... well... flesh. But I agree with you in general. New 'classes' make for people trying them out and seeing if they can play them. But by level 30 players should be expected to play moderately well with a basic mod set. I've generally not seen that happen with Limbos. It still doesn't help with not being able to pick up ammo, especially if you're using a high ammo consumption weapon. I use Ignis a lot on infested missions and even with ammo capacity and rifle mutation mods, I can have issues with keeping ammo if I can't get access to it, honestly only happens in defense if Limbos show up. Not hating on Limbos, just would like to not run out of ammo because it's stuck in the rift.
Archistopheles
He's certainly not "noob friendly." It's going to take awhile before the average PuG can be trusted to play Limbo well. Hopefully the less adept players just go back to playing Nova or Rhino after they get Limbo to 30.

No he's not easy to play, but personally I think, in some cases it's the abilities themselves not being team friendly even with a tactical thinker. As for your second statment, your 'elitism' is showing. Nothing wrong with playing a Rhino or Nova. "noobs go back to <warframe>" is plain absurd. There's garunteed to be someone else that think you're the noob and should be 'sent back to <warframe>". That's the problem with elitists. Always someone more 'elite' than you. Accidental banishment is a big problem if you tend to be in the middle of groups of enemies most of the time like tank warframes. Frustrating! Would like to have a way for either Limbo or the team mate to be able to break it when it occurs.
aegondark
My suggestion to fix limbo... Considering i'm a player in a team with a Limbo.. If Limbo move me to rift: If I use weapons(and only weapons) to damage enemies in the opposite plane i can receive damage from the enemis in that plane while atacking..(something like temporary visible while attacking targets in the opposite plan).. this visibility dont occur if i'm using powers... Ther other damage ways still the same...
