modded Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Please DE, just make it so that mods auto un-equip when switching to another weapon, and then re-equip when you switch back. I don't like taking 2 minutes to change my loadout just because I have to do everything manually.
FusionAsh Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Or an unequip all mods button, should be easier to code.
SolluxCaptorTA Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Or floating mods, so they don't belong to any one weapon and instead can be assigned to as many as you like. Really love the mod system, now just make it less time consuming please.

Galiath25 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 It's also annoying how whenever you apply mods you get moved back a screen. If you took a mod out to enchance it, you then have to go back in to the page you were just at. Not the biggest thing, but it is entirely unnecessary.

They fixed half the problem by allowing fusion of equipped mods with the latest hotfix.

Either floating mods ... or bind mods permanently to a weapon (most might not like that, but it's a decent idea from a dev POV re: creating time sinks ... would also make slotting a mod a much more important decision).

As much of a time sink as it is, upgrading a 8-slot mod only to figure out you added it to the wrong weapon is a bit... distressing
Carcharias Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I think all the weapons have the same number of mods right? So have the mods panel separate from the weapon. If I've got true steel and organ shatter on my sword mod sheet, I change from the cronos to the gram, mods do not change. Have a mod sheet for side arm, long arm, and melee, and have an error if you switch to a weapon that doesn't have enough energy, or it the wrong type. Ps, frames too. I play a different frame solo than I do with my friends in a group. And again, it's a pain to move everything all around switching from one frame to another.

Galiath25 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 (edited) Floating mods is definitely the way to go. Anything can be disassembled, so why should a mod be permanently fused to the gun? They could make it so that when you take a mod out of a gun, you have to wait a certain amount of time to get it back based on the usefullness of the mod. Some people may really not go for that because I've seen complaints with the foundry crafting, but I think it would still allow mods to come out of the guns/frames while forcing you to carefully decide where you put them. This would also help with the insane speed players gain strength. Find a few good mods and now the levels that were getting harder are now all easy. If you can only upgrade stuff once in a while because it takes a bit for mods to be removed, people will push a little bit further with the same gear, slowing down this progression.Of course, if people are having trouble WITH the op mods, well.....I got nothin. xD Edit: Obviously, if this was the case you wouldn't be able to upgrade mods that are in a gun/frame anymore. Hell, maybe it should take time to upgrade mods as well. Seriously, we get powerful waaaaay too fast. Edited April 25, 2013 by Galiath25
Playbeyond Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 Either floating mods or mod sheets as Carcharias has said would be very nice. As of now I have to have 3 different serration mods for my 3 rifles and it took me forever to level them up all the way. I did this just so when I switched warframes I didnt have to change all the mods from gun to gun.

modded Posted April 25, 2013 Author Posted April 25, 2013 Floating mods would be sweet, especially with them sentinels sapping my mods. :/
