Gun Idea - Primary/secondary Version Of Stances?

Something similar that significantly modifies the function of the gun and give it more mod slots?

Example: Miniguns - Significantly slower fire Rate, but inherent blast damage, higher damage, and higher accuracy.

Burst rifles - Faster fire rate, more spread, less recoil, more damage.

Shotguns - More spread, less range, significantly higher damage.

Pistols - Burst fire, more recoil, more accuracy. Or Automatic fire, significantly more recoil, less accuracy, but more damage.

I know that you can tailor certain weapons to these play styles but I would like to see my favorite guns function in more than one aspect. A scatter cannon Hek? Sure. A burst Vasto? Go for it. A spray n' pray Hind? Why not?

Depending on your playstyle and preference of weapons you could make your weapon truely feel like your own, but without having to sacrifice mod space.

Anyone else agree or have any ideas?

Laser/Beam Weapons:

 

Concave Lens

+50% range.

+200% damage.

Weapon deals full damage at max range, scaling downwards to 25% at point blank.

 

Convex Lens

+50% range

+200% damage.

Weapon deals full damage at point blank, scaling downards to 25% at the end of it's range.

Bows:

 

Volly

+410% Multishot

-110% Accuracy

 

And then Speed Trigger became a thing...

 

I'm saying change the dynamic, not just slap on some stats and call it a day.

Going from accurate individual arrows to a volly of inaccurate ones doesn't change up the dynamic? 

 

Aren't your ideas just stats that you wrote as words? "More accuracy"?

 

Not to argue, I just don't see how your discretion works.

Though you're right, that does change it, but a bit too drastically.

 

Good point, but I was just throwing some things out there without much thought. 

 

 

Hmmm seems like you just want to save a couple formas.

Stances affect animations, and there aren't many animations associated with firing a gun. A stat - altering "stance" is just another mod, which would also add mod slots?

 

 

 

Not specifically "Stances." Just something similar to change the way the weapon feels in a similar way. Besides, I have things to do, and I cant be bothered to do Void missions for hours on end for RNG to spit in my face.
