Foundry build times seem way too long.

I think the foundry is a real fun killer.

I was excited to finally have enough Credits to get the blueprint for Ember.

Then i saw that i need 3 more things before i can build it. Okay no problem i looked into the forums and saw what i need to kill to gain it.

But then i saw that i need to build every part of Ember and it will take around 12h to complete... After building these 3 parts i need to wait 3 Days before the Warframe is finally finished.

I don't know why but that killed my motivation.

I still need to get some parts for the helmet and it takes years before i finally find someone to do the mission with me.

4 1/2 days to wait. Thats too long in my opinion.

What do you guys think ?

Oh and sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language.

I think it's fine for the advanced weapons but warframes should be able to be crafted faster since they (at least should be) add a lot of the flavor to the game and new players being forced to stick with 1 warframe for at least 4 days doesn't seem very welcoming. At the very least they should be broken into tiers with some being pretty easy and quick to craft. That or implement some sort of warframe rental system so that players can actually try new frames without having to spend 4 days just to do so (if you get the core weapons the advanced ones are basicly just direct improvements so they don't rly change the gameplay like frames do.)

You can build several things at once.

This. It will be quite long if you build only 1 thing. What you can do is say build 1 warframe per day. Then at the 4th day you get your first thing, 5th day get the second and so on. Not quite bad after the initial long wait. You can also still play the game while you wait as well.

Cant really understand your problem. They need to make money and making the creation process a long time and giving you the ability to get it faster by paying some points, I think this is acceptable . You can craft every stuff without paying anything so let them have that thing ^^

i farmed every material alone for every part of the Ember warframe. got everything in 14 hours. theres 1.5days left for my Ember to be crafted. patience young padawan.

Is there a way to remove blueprints from the foundry?

i believe we have only 4 spots so it would be nice or at least have the option to scroll down the list/have blueprints in the inventory and choose whatever you want.

I'm now stuck with like 3 rhino helm on queue, an ember helm and a trinity helm.

i have 7 blueprints in my Foundry. So don't worry.

Ah okay i didn't know that.

3 1/2 Days (Without farming) sounds a lot better than 4 1/2

The problem is that i have to wait such a long time and i don't even know if Ember is worth it.

An option to test weapons and warframes in a training room would be nice.

Is it just me or is anyone else getting pretty tired of the extremely long Foundry waiting times?

After waiting 3x12 hours +3 days for one Warframe to finish, then 12 hours and 24 hours for weapons to finish, then another 3 days for another Warframe to finish i got quite annoyed by it.

Now i feel tempted to pay straight up for instant finishes which really shouldn't be the case this early into crafting.

How i would like the whole thing to work is at MAXIMUM 1 day for a Warframe to finish crafting. That way you don't feel like pulling your hair out waiting for it to finish, yet still be tempted to pay for an instant finish.

12 and 24 hours for weapons to be built also seems like an extremely long wait. In general the times are just way too long, probably the longest i've seen in any game i have ever played.

Everytime i find a blueprint now i hardly feel like making the item to see what it does because waiting for something is one of the worst enemies in most videogames.

I would personally love to see the build times decreased. Anyone else feel the same way?

1.5 days? It's 3 days for the frame alone after crafting all the parts for it (which itself is 1/2 a day if you have the mats to craft all at once).

But it's not a lack of patience that's the problem, the issue is that f2p players will be stuck with a single frame for too long and the lack of variety will turn many off. You're better off making lots of fun interestring frames and then making players buy more slots for them instead of trying to make money by making their gameplay more monotone. Some players will just outright quit the game if they don't like their starter frame since it will take them to much time to farm and craft a new one (especially if they can only play a few hours a day, would take most of a week for such a person just to get the prints and materials for one).

This is why I don't have an issue with long craft times for weapons, the craftable weapons are mostly just improvements on ones people can get instant access for with credits. But warframes have a significant effect on how the game plays and as such should be more quickly obtained. If these craft times must stay then some sort of warframe rental system really should be added or many people will quit due to the lack of diversity in how they play (if you were playing another game would you like to be stuck playing a class you didn't like for half a week?).

This isn't even mentioning the problem of a player grinding their way to a new frame only to find out it's not a frame they like.

Haha they should let you put in double the materials or something and get it in half the time. I'll agree though I've never been a big fan of waiting for crafting times. Though the idea is you'll log back in when you thing is finished crafting and play some more.

Disagree.

You either pay for convience (Speed of crafting) or you play for free and wait (3 days +)

The system is great and works well. I had no problems wiating for my stuff.

Nothing else needs to be changed atm. Give the devs some money if your enjoying the game....

You have to consider they are basically asking for 30 dollars per character in their cash shop right now, so a week long wait is perfecly fine to get around those prices

30 dollars? You should really look again...

375 platinum for ash

570 is the equivalent for 30 dollars......

Anyhow to the topic:

This should always be the case. You either pay up for an instant build, or you wait.

i do think build times of new frames are a bit long. I'm waiting 3 days for frame to build and i feel like i'll likely stop playing the game before the build time finishes.

except that you only have 2 slots. so you really can't build all those frames. on top of the farming part

I get the idea that the developers need the funds, and I get that it's not fun to wait. The problem seems to be biggest thing takes way more time than anything else, which while it is probably the biggest major component of the game, I don't feel it should neessarily take that long. What I suppose wouldbe a fair solution would be to just cut it down a little for warframes, or maybe the more you have of the materials the less time it takes, cut it down to about half the time would be 1.5 days at the maximum, it's still a whole day but if you haven't leveled up your current frame it gives you extra time to do so.

On the other hand, we could just shorten it by one day so that it still takes two days to build a frame regardless of supplies, less coding (in theory anyways) and a not so hefty wait time while still keeping a fair amount of balance.
