Limbo's Banish Stops Working During Mission

I've had instances where Banish would all of a sudden stop affecting targets in the middle of missions. This is most noticeable during defense missions where I would use the skill consecutively, but find that nobody is pulled into the rift. The casting animation is still there, but nothing else happens; not even energy consumption.

I've seen this as well. I notice it most when I'm not the host, even early in the mission. When I'm not the host, I also notice a considerable amount of time between when I cast Banish, and when the enemy actually appears in the void. Even on hosts who have a good connection and no lag.

 

Long missions, specifically defense missions, even when I'm the host, I've noticed it stops working entirely. Like you mentioned, there's an animation, but no energy consumption, damage, and the enemies are not placed in the Rift.
