Weren't Syndicate Missions Suppose To Be Different?

Implying I would love to see more variety and I still remember this being said on a live stream.

 

I expected new signs be meaningful BECAUSE of how unique these missions were suppose to be.

Now it's all about daily grind in very similar missions and farming extra xp on the side as we chase for ultimate rewards.

 

Please, diversify syndicate tasks. There's so many possibilities: 

 

use melee only (or primary/secondary exclusively); 

random weapon get (start with random set of zero rank pr+sec+melee)

not cause any alarm (as much stealth as we can get); 

escort (second stage of rescuing prisoner but with a group of three revivable allies);

harvest survival (supplies dropping only from enemies);

 

I fancy random weapon mode the most, being a chance for "testing" not craftable (rank cap) or simply not yet crafted weapons  :)

Well they weren't touted as 'quests' so no, I don't imagine them inventing entirely new missions that are Syndicate-only.

 

The only disappointing aspect is that we don't actually have the syndicate representative replacing Lotus commentary in the mission itself.

I kinda wish we had options

 

Like nightmare mode for double rep, or stealth mode for double rep gain, or something.

 

Someone actually made a good suggestion involving the stealth mechanic.

 

I am in complete and utter shock.

 

Is this the right planet? What's going on here? Why is that idea genius even though I hate the poor stealth mechanic of this game?

 

It'd give me a reason to equip Hush and Suppress.

 

You'd have to do it solo though or with a team that knows you. There is the catch.

I think DE are actually approaching the syndicate daily missions in completely the wrong way. It's just the same old missions with a little seperate commentary tacked on at the beginning.

Give us some new syndicate themed tile sets. Let us invade a red veil base when we take on missions for the arbiters and vice versa. Make the positive and negative renown we gain actually feel like the consequences of our actions. Let the syndicate missions tell a story.

you'll see that [DE]Steve was conversing with players about the issue brought up in the OP. Specifically in this response here, Steve implies that the syndicates were ready to be released but not fully fleshed out. I remember the devs talking about syndicate missions being unique as well, and I think that they just haven't ironed everything out yet, so hopefully we'll see some good changes soonTM.

I like the idea of the missions being different/unique, but this is important too.  Job for New Loka?  New Loka = handler.  

 

Really, it should be clear if we're doing something for a "Lotus" faction, since invasions for the Grineer/Corpus always seemed at odds with that too.  Grineer handler for Grineer missions, Grineer handler for fighting invasions of Infested on Grineer holdings.
