SoulEchelon
Sounds like people are just angry they have to turn off their macros for a few moments and run around every 5 or 10 rounds to pick up loot. Seriously people. 50 mods. Do you know how many mods normally drop per round? If you're extremely lucky, MAYBE 5. At most. This 50 SIMULTANEOUS (Guess folks don't know what the word SIMULTANEOUS means) mods is a huge number. No one except for afkers will be effected by this. Defense? When the herd's numbers are noticeably thinned, run around and pick up S#&$. Not rocket science. Interception? Stop standing in one place for hours on end and pick up S#&$ during the "exterminate" phase. Again, not rocket science. I swear this community will find anything to blow out of proportion. Yet, I'm still down to 20 FPS when there are multiple mods stacked up together (along with those white smoke particles that appears out of nowhere). So I call this "performance improvement" bull. Letter13
Yet, I'm still down to 20 FPS when there are multiple mods stacked up together (along with those white smoke particles that appears out of nowhere). So I call this "performance improvement" bull. If your framerate suffers before there are 50 concurrent mods on the ground, then obviously the changes won't impact your performance. This also means you may want to turn down your settings. The performance improvement is really only for cases where folks' framerate began to suffer when more than 50 mods were on the ground at a time. ----------------------------------------------------------- There seems to be some misunderstanding with the "Improved performance and stability of long missions by setting a cap on active Mods in a session. 50 mods can now exist simultaneously before new mods will replace the old." change in 15.1.3. This change does not affect how many total mods you can collect in a mission. You can still grind for hundreds of mods in a single run of a mission. All it means is that up to 50 mods can exist on the ground at any given time. This is to increase performance because mods have quite a few more polygons than an ammo box, so having hundreds of them on screen at once is going to negatively affect your performance. If you see a lot of mods, spend the 30 seconds it takes to grab them. Nothing was nerfed. Locking.
