Best Frost Prime Build?

Question

So... hello.

I need help with Frost Prime (yeah, I still didn't level him up).

What's the best build for Snowglobe? (jump to the last phrase if you don't want to read)

Vazarin (D) polarity. Does Physique works on snowglobe? If not, I will be using Rejuvenation.

I don't have Arcane Aurora, but I do have Arcane Squall.

I have Constitution and Continuity maxed out and Narrow Minded at rank 4

Vigor maxed out, Redirection at rank 8 and Vitality at rank 6

Steel Fiber at rank 9

Intensify maxed out and Blind Rage at rank 2 (I don't like blind rage)

Streamline maxed out and Fleeting Expertise at rank 4

Stretch maxed out and Overextended at rank 4

Anyway. Fleeting Expertise, Streamline and Redirection are kinda mandatory for ME.

That leaves Frost Prime with 5 slots, which mods should I use?

That's a good build but don't bother with his offensive abilities in high levels. Replace Intensify and Blind Rage for something else because his offensive abilities don't become as useful as Snowglobe. An optional thing to do is rank up Narrowminded a bit and add a Stretch

Okay, I'm actually going to say take out Redirection and replace with different survivability mods-steel fiber and vitality paired. Why? Because Steel Fiber increases the viability of your snowglobe by a significant margin, and Rejuv means you can make the health back as long as you pop snowglobe/avalanche first.

Current loadout-FE at one rank below max/Streamline/SF/Vitality

Next you want Narrow Minded to offset FE, but you'll want Stretch to counteract that. Then I'd suggest Intensify since that increases your snowglobe more. At this point I guess you could use Redirection if that's really non-negotiable, but I'd rather use Transient Fortitude and give a fairly close to base duration globe with a meaty chunk of base health.

My suggested loadouts with notes:

Loadout 1 [suggested]: FE-1/Streamline/SF/Vitality/NM/Stretch/Intensify/TF

Loadout 2 [if you really can't drop Redirection and still want the best snowglobe]: FE-1/Streamline/SF/Redirection/NM/Stretch/Intensify/TF

Loadout 3 [High personal survivability, less snowglobe]: FE-1/Streamline/SF/Vitality/NM/Stretch/TF/Redirection (decided TF is better value than Intensify)

In all cases Rejuv is your aura of choice.

He has an C9 Steel Fiber. You should rank up that Vitality though, it's too low atm.

In my opinion, in early/mid game, snowglobe without blind rage is sufficient. Intensify is nice to have though. A duration/max efficiency build is probably the best for that. Also I prefer my snowglobe to be slightly larger or equal to the original range, but that's up to you.

In mid/late game, there's two paths, one solo/squad and one's co-op with trinity.

For solo/squad, I use a Blind rage ranked up to the point where max Fleeting and Continuity would give 50% efficiency, just to keep things tidy. In this case, I would replace Constitution with Flow, but that's another one of my preference, I like getting all the energy i can have when I'm not at max efficiency.

For co-op with a trinity, if she can reliably send out energy vampire constantly, I recommend actually just use the early/mid build, since late game can just tear through health like nothing, I tried T3 mobile solo, it wasn't fun, and basically, the only thing stopping those bullets is the invulnerable period of 4 second at the start, so with trinity's energy vampire, you can just spam away, with 3 second intervals just to make it lag less. A - duration build might help as well with the lag.

I wasn't sure if he was talking idealised builds to work into or to use his current mods. I went with the first option, but I feel like I outlined the reasons for choices well enough that he can work back into what he has for now.

Power Strenght mods make snowglobe stronger though, a long lasting snowglobe will just be taken down by enemies if it's "hp" its low.

As others have indicated, if you're playing at a high enough level that build matters, then Snow Globe dies very fast. Enemies do way too much damage and the only thing that keeps it alive is the 4 seconds of absorb time (which generally translates into a total lifetime on your Globe of 8-10 seconds). So capitalize on that by using maximum power efficiency.  Don't bother with duration past that point, it won't be used. Also I wouldn't recommend messing with the Globe's size;  the default is enough that your team can get into it, but not so big that you include a dozen enemies too.

Im also looking for a build mostly for solo defense/mobile defense

So here's the mods I plan to use

Steel fiber / Intensify /Redirection ( I prefer it over vitality ) / Narrow minded (what rank ? ) / Stretch / Streamline / Transient Fortitude ( what rank ? / Fleeting expertise ( what rank ? )

I think you need to work on your mod levels :D

If you can get it, Transient Fortitude is a better choice than Blind Rage. Also, Continuity is mostly unneccessary IMO-as has been said, your snowglobe isn't going to last more than about 10 seconds once you hit the point where exact building matters.

Swap blind rage for flow the extra 150 energy can help you during the lean energy times (unless you plate),  your snow globe typically wont last past 8 seconds so your using about 1.6 energy a second assume 2 with some globe overlapping.

and perhaps swap continuity for a shield/health mod when your running about on missions and even for defense.

I have almost 2 million credits, and every time I spend around 10k with a fusion I get all "Nooo... my creds... plis... ;-; "

Imagine ranking high level mods...

I play with two more friends, one who is almost always with Rhino, and other that stays between Loki and Nova.

Anyway, I don't plan on going more than wave 15 in a T3 with Frost. Mainly T1, so, continuity is good.

Also, without blind rage, I lose around 400 health in the snowglobe...

And I'm not in the mood to search for Transient Fortitude. ASH.png
