Kawalorn
I got this idea when I was playing with Limbo using Scindo and I found it off-putting that such a "skinny" frame uses an axe with same speed and strength as frames like Rhino who is personification of strength. This idea might also give more variety for builds. Why not give all Warframes stats of Strength and Dexterity which will give them more/less proficiency in certain type of weapons? For example Rhino would have high Strength which would allow him to swing faster with heavy weapons like Scindo and Brokk and have less recoil when shooting with weapons like Gorgon, while he had low Dexterity which would make him attack slower with weapons like daggers and dual swords, and have lower basic accuracy with weapons like bows and sniper rifles. Loki would be the exact opposite of that. The differences can be quite low, perhaps 10%, but I think it would give people more incentive to vary their builds between frames and it would also make more sense. SquirmyBurrito
Nope nope nope. I like being able to use whatever weapons I want with whatever frames I want.

AM-Bunny
The funny part of this is Limbo was officially advertised as wielding the Opticor, one of the most ridiculously sized weapons yet.
Kawalorn
Nope nope nope. I like being able to use whatever weapons I want with whatever frames I want. Perhaps, but then we have people complaining that there is far too little variety in builds And as I said the change would be small so it wouldn't INVALIDATE oposite builds, just give people some incentive to use more than 2 weapons. People should not be punished because they have certain preferences. Well then I guess nobody likes to play RPG's where you can't be a two-handed-axe-wielding-Thief-Mage. CrazyCatLad
No to this but I do think each Warframe should have a unique passive stat... Frost: Immune to ice levels. Ember: Immune to fire hazards. Rhino: Faster attack with heavy weaps Ash: Slightly better damage with throwing secondaries. Et cetera. Macdermott
No to this but I do think each Warframe should have a unique passive stat... Frost: Immune to frost levels. Ember: Immune to fire hazards. Rhino: Faster attack with heavy weaps Ash: Slightly better damage with throwing secondaries. Et cetera. Agreed. I like the idea of each frame having something "unique" about it beyond just the abilities and the health levels. Like how Loki does extra melee dmg when invisible, why don't other frames have something similar?

vaugahn
This wouldn't increase variety at all. It would just force players to use certain weapons based on their frame, and punish players who don't have enough weapon slots to keep a varied arsenal. AbstractLemons
This would hurt my plans for limbo if such a thing were implemented, there's some sort of incentive for some weapons being combos with powers, naturally since limbo can knock targets down with banish and rift surge up having a melee weapon with high base damage to perform a ground finisher would help him to keep eliminating heavies for a long time, and he's balanced by the fact of having to do it one at a time so naturally I want to make sure that i can kill the target with one attack so i can move on to the next one to banish and then execute he already does this but weapons like jat kittag would help him go farther. R34LM
It is a nice idea, but not for Warframe. As mentioned by previous posters, it would limit gameplay too much. Practicality vs. gameplay.

RPG's don't advertise themselves as space ninja simulators where you can live out your dreams as Rambo.
