An odd request,I'm sure. I want to make a bit of a themed build for my Mirage: Saturate the battlefield with as much dakka as I can. Be it with rapid fire weapons,or simply shotguns. I've already selected my secondary (Angstrum) and melee (Fangs) weapons,as well as my Sentinel (Helios,finally),but I've yet to select a primary,primarily because I don't know what weapon,specifically,I want to use with Mirage. The requirements,I will reiterate,are...

 

-Lots of dakka. It needs to be able to output a large number of projectiles in a small time frame.

-Something I didn't already max out. I tend to get one set of gear,and focus it to rank 30 before I move on.

-Non-Prime/Wraith/Vandal. I have horrible luck at getting Prime parts,and I simply don't have all the special guns.

 

Weapons I already own that fall into the above criteria are...

 

-Soma

-Gorgon

-Ignis

-Boar

-Grakata (Worst. Weapon. EVER.)

-Dera

-Braton

-Braton Mk I

 

I'm willing to compromise the "Lots of dakka" for "Big kaboom".

Grakata isnt that bad, it just need proper modding

 

also what about supra? "wall of laser bolts"

i like the supra though its a it takes a few feildens its a nice little gun (big) its like the gorgon but it fires lazor boltz

 

also if your going to get boar, get boar prime. getting normal boar is shame

 

also if you want the highest dps from a rifle get the opticor. that S#&$ is insane.

try the soma or ignis (for infested), but you need to give the grakta a shot here, it has very high proc chance and very fun to play (as I heard) 

but I really suggest ignis with mirage, it's so much fun

Big Kaboom probably would entail Ogris or Penta. If you just meant high damage per shot, you could try Lanka, Vectis, Vulkar, but those are snipers, i.e. lower fire rate for higher damage.

 

High dakka would probably be:

 

Karak (basically like a Braton variant with some more damage)

 

Tetra (kind of like the Dera but with recoil and slightly slower fire rate but more damage)

 

Sobek (an auto-shotgun like the Boar)

 

Boar Prime (a primed auto-shotgun, capability of pretty damn high fire rate)

 

Buzlok (large magazine, good fire rate, has a tracking beacon mechanic and a nice feel to the weapon. Kind of like the Gorgon)

 

Boltor (basically like an all-rounder gun if you ask me)

 

Hind is a burst weapon, but it fires in bursts of five and has a pretty good fire rate, so that might be dakka-y to you.

 

Someone said Supra up above. It's basically a laser Gorgon to oversimplify it.

 

Cestra, Dual Cestra (These are dakka secondaries to consider if you pick up a Penta or Ogris Primary)

-Afuris, Twin Vipers, Akzani are also possibilities.

I have set my Grakata up as as proc beast and bullet hose. It's immensly fun, and incredibily ammo consuming.

 

Do you want the highest DPS, the highest ROF, or simply the most fun (subjective, I know)?

Oh i completely forgot about the buzlok

 

i use it like a gorgon and it can dish out some high damage in a short time and no wind up, though it can run outta ammo fast

its also good for taking down hard targets from cover

Plus it has an amazing sound that makes it wonderful to use.

The weapons I've listed are ones that are disqualified,because they've already hit Rank 30,and were either sold because I hated them,or kept because I liked them. And,note: My judgement on the Grakata was made LONG before Damage 2.0 arrived. Long before even the J3 Golem got removed. And,to clarify,"Big kaboom" means high explosives. I have ENOUGH Big Dakka in the form of a Lanka and Miter.

 

"Lots of dakka" or "More dakka" in this context is purely an expression of projectile count. I'm not looking for DPS. I'm looking for PPS,or Projectiles Per Second. Or,something close to it. Take the Hek,for example. Slow-ish rate of fire,but an obscene pellet count. That would qualify,if barely,if I didn't already cap it out and do a little jig with it before Damage 2.0.

 

Still,thank you for the suggestions. I'm a few days off from getting Mirage,so keep it up,if you have further suggestions.

Get supra. No regrets. Period.

Honestly, it's a S#&$ ton of fun.

Projectile amount: huge

Kowabanga eyes melting effects: check

Deals actually damage: quite a bit

With sudas mod for it adding straight 20% flat status chance to it its even better.

Give it a shot.
