I'm Scared...

Some have heard of a mysterious figure, silently lurking behind the empty halls of the factory. Some even fear to whisper it's very name, fearful to evoke the wrath of his unadulterated horror.

Who is he? No one knows. None saw the dark figure and lived to tell about it.

You can't fight it. You can't defend against it. Pray it does not find you.

If you can hear soft footsteps behind you, or hear a barely recognizable merry tune, you'll then know that it stalks your very movement. The moment you turn around and catch a glimpse of the figure you see above, the music will speed up tenfold as he rushes to envelope you in perpetual darkness.

All was rutine and going as usual that day, at the Grineer cloning facility on Sedna.

Uk, Chee, Chee, Sevenk, batch ready for processing. The screen gave off a dim yellow glow, and the blinking cursor indicated the progression of the cloning machine.

A sudden thud came from the machine. Probably just a limb that separated. It'll be replaced with a mechanical one before final deployment. No problem.

Shux, Shux, Forr. The timing of the machine was adjusted to accommodate the new parameters and flush out the severed limb.

Two more thuds came in rapid succession. This one has to be scheduled for resyc.

A violent shudder shook the machine. Everyone looked at it. This was not supposed to happen, let alone be possible.

A technician hurried over to the console. The screen was flickering, and the text was barely readable.

Eught...... Eught, Uk, Chee, Fhuve. An unknown error code.

Another shudder cracked the glass of the tall vat, and nutrition fluids leaked with a lazy flow, and a slap of skin was pressed againt the dirty glass. A featureless face caught his eye, and the technicial couldn't avert his eyes anymore. It felt as if this defective clone refused to die, and stared right into his inner most being, seing his every thought and secret.

A slight flicker of the lights, and the empty face was gone.

The technicial regained his composure. His colleagues stared at him, as if he had been twisted by the void itself. He didn't know of the things he had said. To him it was just a few moments of pure and unfiltered terror. His face was pale, white as snow. He took a single step, he had to initiate emergency procedures and shut down the machine. He took a second step, and before he could do anything, the blood rushed from his head and he hit the floor with a crack, as his nose took the brunt of the impact.

The two lab assistants stared at each other. The light flickered again. Only a single assistant was standing. The other lying on the floor in a pool of blood. His scull carved out, and his face missing.

He broke down, hugging his knees and sobbing while mumbling gibberish is how the guards found him. Despite their best attempts, he only spoke of a faceless man gliding across the floor. Not walking. He passed through walls and crates like they weren't even there.

The second assistant was scheduled for resyc, and the incident summarized in a brief casualty report with scarce details, archived and forgotten.

Some claim this failed clone still haunt the Grineer outposts, and others refer to it as nothing but a scary story.
