Launcher bugging out

Upon starting the launcher it claims theres about a 148kb update to download, gets to about 128kb and then the launcher closes and immediately re-opens and claims the aforementioned 148kb update to download again. From then on it simply repeats this cycle, each time getting to 128kb and then closing only to re-open. Trying to close it down is quite the pain with how quickly it hits 128kb and cycles again. Edit: Managed to fix it, seems a simple computer reboot was all that was needed to get the launcher working right again.
