IfritKajiTora
If you want first person mode in Warframe please support this thread. I really want first person camera mode.TO DEVS: I know that the First person camera is bugged, warframe parts entering the camera, but you can add this option now to the game as a alpha mode, in option menu it should be called ,,First Person Mode [Work In Progress, not recommended]'' something like that and after some time you will maybe repair the bugs with this camera.Even if its bugged I really will enjoy playing in this camera mode and many people too.I could feel like in Unreal Tournament game.Field of View in option should work, so players will manually set their camera by this option. Some Warframe parts can block view so people would like to chose camera little closer to have less obscures. If its possible in first person mode player should not be abble to see helmet, just like helmet is invisible for him to avoid a lot of obscures on screen.Screens from first person mode:http://imgur.com/a/jFp0W http://i936.photobucket.com/albums/ad210/Alex_Furdelance/2014-06-09_00019_zps29a236fb.jpg http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/4895/oj96.jpg http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/597033851811315552/32BE68BE94AF95A0B983214C7C451D2160E29090/1024x576.resizedimage http://i.imgur.com/5PeHzcm.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QvhEybs.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Yu6Ga7s.jpg http://i60.tinypic.com/ip8dv5.jpg http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/598153784014111577/7413FD6869E021903923E0A2185DE424D8F03314/1024x819.resizedimage http://i60.tinypic.com/2gwgqag.jpg http://i.imgur.com/evFd59L.jpg http://i.imgur.com/r0jEC2Q.jpg EDIT:Update: if there is problem with wall runing coptering and etc, you can always make for that moment camera change to third person mode and while landing back to first person mode view. This is just an idea for Devs to make it more playable if wall runing and some things could be not playable at these moments. so I hope it will safe your time of thinking on things how to fix.I saw Video about First Person wiev and it have some bugs. When you move camera left or right Warframe should automaticly turn at that point just like moving with W,S,A,D keys, this will avoid a lot of obscures. In crouch mod, camera need to go lower position and more forward, because when you crouch you are in like bugged Third person camera. While running camera should be placed little in forward position to avoid Helmet block view.EDIT Part2: It could be even awesome if you could put First Person Mode view only when you hold Right mouse (aim mode). Ofcourse to chose in option mode: First Person Mode while Aiming ON/OFF Edited November 22, 2014 by IfritKajiTora
-SLX-J3tAc3
I definitely want it. I suggest this: don't worry about redrawing everything and working on the metrics, since this is not the intended mode for the game. Give folks the option to have it, but simply let them know that at this point it's unsupported.

Guest zMiNixB0SSx
coptering and free running aspects of the game would be hard af to fully control if there was a 1st person option
(XBOX)Motive cK
VOTE NO. The object of this game so people could explore look around see things that a 1st person wouldn't be able to see. its not a first person shooter game, go play COD or whatever. OR give people the option to choose. +1 No
Lediard
No way. Any sort of acrobatics would be deeply disorienting. I support DE's decision to keep it third-person 100%.
TheErebus.
As long as these threads show up, I will constantly repeat the same thing. NO NO NO NO NO NO. It will never work effectively in warframe. Camera issues arise from going into FPS, they have to rescale weapon models as well as other things in the environment, they also need to make sure the movement feels fluid and not confusing and sickening as all hell. Even Karp said that it would take far too much work for this to work. So no matter how much you want it, it wont come. Anyway, I think this would be pretty neat. Parkour might be a bit awk, but I think would be pretty cool to get another perspective in WF. And also they would have to make new models for each weapon. So not practical but cool. Edited November 21, 2014 by nickelshark
Orbister
The whole game has been designed around the third person perspective, i wouldn't want the devs to start reworking the game and using valuable time on this just because a couple of players can't leave behind their CS/CoD memories, Warframe needs bug fixing, balancing, tweaking not re-designing the camera. BrotherIcarus
Not everything can be solved with "just make it optional". Of course it can't but the biggest actual negative to making an FPS mode is that a percentage of players wont want to use it, having it be an option fixes the biggest negative. And then arises the issues when it comes to the camera, and then re-sizing the props/enviroment etc., and then also making sure the parkour actually works and doesn't cause sickness. Believe me, I think its cool too. But this is not something that is needed, at all. Even if it is optional.
-Mr.Meeseeks-
Uh... Sorry no. The acrobatics would be way too disorientating in first person (can you imagine how dizzy all the coptering in the game would make you?). Also, They'd have to take a lot of time to redesign the entire perspective of the game instead of working things that actually need fixing. I am fully aware of these things and have no doubt that if DE were to do it it would take well over a year. The way I see it stating "it will be hard to make and will take time" is not a valid reason to shoot the idea down and say you don't want it. --Q--Mrow
No way, it doesn't makes any sense in warframe. It is not a static shooter, there's much action going on. Just immagine.. Pointless.
Trichouette
Definitely not. A FPS played in TPS => cheat A TPS played in FPS => pointless The only thing i want is being able to turn my sentinel invisible for my point of view.
IfritKajiTora
Why weapons need new models? It looks preety good. And besides it's just and optional, there will be a lot of bugs with camera while parkour and etc but if it's really bad for you then just you will not want to use it again, that's all. Then what I need to hack game to play in first person mode? it's bad to hack game. I would like to have an oryginal option to it added by developers.

The way I see it stating "it will be hard to make and will take time" is not a valid reason to shoot the idea down and say you don't want it. How is it not a valid reason? Imagine all the resources being poured into something that in the end, warframe simply does not need. Do you really want an FPS mode as opposed to an end-game, functional core gameplay and the like? Oh and before anyone brings up GTA 5 on the PS4 and Xbone, lemme remind you that in GTA, you don't do parkour all over the place at break-neck speeds. There will be a lot of bugs with camera while parkour and etc but if it's really bad for you then just you will not want to use it again, that's all. They would require new models because of how the movements are in warframe. If you take a look at the game Starforge, then you'll see what I mean. Secondly, "if it's really bad for you, then you will not use it again" so if we don't like it don't use it? If you were talking about a weapon, yeah ok it'd make sense. But this is something that the devs would slave over for a very long time and you to say "if its buggy then don't use it" is a slap in the face to DE. I know that it is different feelings playing game in different cameras, and people are using to one of them, what they like more. I feel more like in first person mode because I feel like I'm this character and I'm more accuracy in shoting.

GTA V was from Third person camera and now it is and they are making first person mode. PROBLEM? Need for Speed was developed to have both of those camera angles placed in from the very beginning. Warframe would need to go through this long and extremely arduous task to make it work. GTA is not a fast paced shooter. Therefore, the FPS aspect works. Also, they have Rockstar behind GTA. They have waaaay more power in the team than DE has.
