Pulse Scanner (Gear Item Concept)

The Pulse Scanner gear item will be used just like a Team Restore Item. Each pulse acts as an AOE scan.

Conversation came up in Council chat about adding a Helios type scanning feature to Archwing, and I came up with this as an alternative to fill that void.

I originally wanted an AOE scanner on Helios but I figured a separate Gear would work well, too.

These will come in handy in missions other than Archwings.

Pulse Scanner

Scans up to 1 item per pulse (by nearest item not completed in codex).

Once dropped it will pulse every 7.5 seconds for a total for 4 pulses (up to 4 scans total in 30 seconds).

Blueprints & 10x Blueprints should be available in Market.

Medium Pulse Scanner

Scans up to 2 items per pulse.

Pulses every 7.5 seconds for a total of 4 pulses (up to 8 scans total in 30 seconds).

Blueprints & 10x Blueprints should be available in Tenno Lab (Clan Dojo).

Large Pulse Scanner

Scans up to 4 items per pulse.

Pulses every 7.5 seconds for a total of 4 pulses (up to 16 scans total in 30 seconds).

Blueprints & 10x Blueprints should be available from Syndicate, Void Trader, Darvo Market, or from future content.

Scan Radius = about 5m normally (or more, if normal Team Restore radius is larger than that), 15m-20m in Archwing

Balance Issues:

1. Each item scanned will still consume from your 100 Scans for the mission and your Codex Scanner charges from your inventory.

2. Each Pulse Scanner has to be constructed by a Blueprint (rather than purchased from market like regular Scanner charges), at about the same cost in credits to construct as other restores. Blueprints include rarer components to make than Restores, such as Fieldron Samples (100~150 each) and/or Oxium (5~15 each).

Optional Features:

1. Double scans per pulse if the scans grab stuff already completed in the Codex.

2. Items scanned added to each squad member's codex, allowing to contribute to group scans. What to scan is based on  Codex of who dropped the Pulse Scanner. Scan charges would still only count toward the one that dropped it.
