grnchtrr
Screw being mature, I just can't take d and v threads seriously lel
Vilitas
Oh I assure you I've got the D. Jokes aside, yeah it is a little frustrating.
Arunafeltz
During debate discussing the devalued D, dozens of denizens developed differing determinations. The Dash was deemed destined to displace the discussed D. 10/
Kuestenjung
I feel like D polarity exists to make me put more forma into a weapon. And how does it exactly make you put more forma into a weapon? And don´t come with the argument, it could have been a V or - polarity. It doesn´t really matter if there ais a D polarity or not, actually it is like having 1 polarity less, so you would have polarized that slot nevertheless. But I wish DE would finally release more useful weapon mods with the D polarity. And btw. on Archwing guns it is indeed useful. Leland_Gaunt
D-polarity is trash on 99% of the weapons. 100% if it's in the first slot. Not a single instance I could come up with where this would be helpful, except for maybe crit/status-heavy rifles because of Hammershot (and even then, it would probably be a waste). It's the ultimate troll move to put a D-polarity in the first slot of a weapon. Although honestly, I don't really mind, I'm always happy to have some more stuff to forma, but that's just because everything else is forma'd out. shyguyk
why does having the polarity in the first slot specifically matter at all?
Sloan441
I suspect a large fraction of the community doesn't bother polarizing weapons. A D-polarity (whose actual name escapes me at the moment) is sorta useful to this group. For me, it means the weapon has no polarity since it's going to get forma'd off at some point. A D-polarity interferes with elemental combos too much to leave in place. If the polarity swapping utility applied to only one of the presets, I'd probably retain it, but since it moves all of them it's just bloody worse than useless--it actively interferes with setting up proper combos. So, yeah, it's forma-bait on any weapon that I actually intend to use extensively.
es.iiden
you know im surprised people are still posting, i assumed the mods would take it down or something since its in the "hot-topics" or something.
DotBeta
I feel like you should forma your weapon at 30 and change it. /Thread.
belcebub
I feel like the weapons with a d polarity cost one more forma and take twice the exp to level them. Basically they start you off in the red.
ra9una
I feel like there is a D/V joke in here. Here's my feeling on the mater: Forma exists, so I really couldn't care less about polarities on a weapon.
JefPlays
I don't want some other person's D in my ladies.
TheGameYouJustLostIt
Atleast it has a slot. Unlike those clan weapons we build ( using a god damn forma) That have no polarity at all.
BloodKitten
feel good about it, lifestrike take even less points, also a rifle mod that add status chance and crit damage is a D polarity, so its not completely useless.
Paradoxbomb
The only issues with it are: 1) The only worthwhile mods with a D polarity are cold-damage mods and Life Strike, neither of which are all that costly to begin with. 2) The always put it in the freakin' upper-left corner, meaning that if you do choose to use it for a cold damage mod (which you will because nothing else is worth it), it heavily restricts your choice of elemental combos. Leviathan0306
Well I've put the "Life Strike" mod on my Fang Prime's D polarity, guess what?
IlluminaZero
It's a free polarity slot. Don't get what the whining is about, especially from posters who claim to overwrite the polarity. I have never needed to polarize every slot to make a build work.
WhisperByte
The way I see it there is only one weapon mod in the entire game that gets worthwhile benefit from being slotted into the D polarity. ONE. And it's rarely used because DEvs don't have time/manpower to balance the game. That mod is North Wind.
