"deployable Shield" As A Future Ult Power

Think Grineer Shield Lancer, but for Tenno, with all that entails. 

So it's basically the flip side of Mesa's ult: protected, you are stationary but can turn 360 degrees, but slow turn rate, slow fire rate, and moderate projectile flight speed, otherwise would be too OP. 

Let's say there is a future warframe who always carries a large shield on his/her back. Think those medieval tower shields. 
Like how Mesa doesn't usually use her Regulator outside of her ult, you don't see this hypothetical future warframe using the shield when you are not activating his ult. 

(but perhaps there can be a passive extra resistance to being shot from the back and sides, since that's where the shield is)

Once you hit 4, and the ult activates, the shield unfolds into a stationary turret that gives 360 protection to the frame, and takes 80% reduced damage from all incoming fire (possible to go up to 95% reduced damage taken with right corrupted mods, so you gain some and lose some)

This is literally a "turret mode", and the frame uses a souped up version of Ogris / Penta / Opticor (doesn't matter which, as long as it is a powerful but slow weapon) while in this mode. 

This mode can be toggled, or lasts until your energy runs out. 

The shield can unfold like how the Aegis and Silva shield unfolds, or more mechanically. Whichever way the Devs feel like.

Perhaps could be interesting, but I doubt this'll happen for the same reason that DE said they won't add a cover system (IE: Press X to take cover): It would break the flow of the game. I know that Peacemaker kinda does this, but I think that your idea is taking that (arguable) transgression WAY further.

So at its core, an ultimate that is a damage ability. See the problem is that there are already a wide array of shield or defensive abilities that work well, but when it comes to damage abilities, they will never scale properly. Weapons like Ogris or Opticor are suped up via mods already to make them viable, but you can't really change damage aspects on abilities with exception of things like range or power strength.

While this sounds very interesting we already have a shield that works in this way. Volt has his shield which he can deploy and with placing them correctly you can form a decent barrier to prevent incoming damage, minus and explosive damage, coming towards anyone behind the shield. It even gives added benefits by shooting thru it. While your example is more single person Volt's shield can be used either personally or shared with the team.

Yeah it already exists in Volt.  Put a shield in front of you.  Rotate 180 degrees, and put another shield.  There you go, 360 degree stationary shielding.  Plus you can use weapons.  And get blowed up by bombards since they laugh at your shields and use punchthrough damage on you.
