Eyes Of Blight - How Fast Does The Number Update?

Question

Usually when you do a Fomorian mission, you come back to find the global health of the fomorian lower. However there have been a few times where it didn't change. Just did a mission - health was 26.5% before the mission. We got a mission score of 2.5M. After the mission, global health was...... 26.5%. Does it take time to update sometimes? Or does the damage sometimes... not.. get.. recorded? Or is the fomorian rigged to take gradually less damage as it approaches death? =/

Thanks

The 2.5 million damage you did to the fomorian isn't even close to .1% of it's total health, it probably has billion(s) of hit points. The damage IS being recorded to it's total health, it's just so insignificant it's not making a change on the percentage.

EDIT: OR what the above guy said where damage dealt doesn't affect how much of it's % you take out, in which case once again your 1 run is very insignificant against the number of total runs it takes to bring one down, so it's not showing.

it's completing the Mission at all that ticks down the 'health bar' of the Fomorian by one.

how much Damage you deal is just something for you to do in the mission, not how effective that mission was.

you know your Mission completion is having an effect because Fomorians have been destroyed. so it's working.

good point.

Speaking of which, I'd love to know how people are doing that (without cheating)

Boomer (Elytron 3) has escalating damage. If you spam it enough using four players and MANY large energy restores while managing to destroy all the multiplier nodes on the core, you'll get a score in the billions due to the way it increases its own damage with successive hits.

Pretty much this - just like in Gradivus where the global 'health' of the side you chose during a siege wasn't determined by the number of enemies you killed during the mission, it was determined by the number of runs you and others contributed.
