Tharrick
Just to clarify, since I only just found out the mods drop here from this post (not like I need them), but is a "Perfect" spy one where you do stealth on getting the three data masses (no alarms in the spy section no 30 seconds until the data is destroyed), or simply getting all three data masses? All 3, no detections in the vaults

CrazyCatLad
I was doing a Rank 5 Syndicate Spy mission, note that I did the first 2 Syndicate missions with this guy the Spy was the last, I went around finding medalions and 2 more joined and, man I hate to make such a sterotype but its what happened: a RHINO just rushed by everything and lost the first data. The guy who was with me since the start? Called all of us noobs and left, the other 2 followed soon after, I thanked my connection that I was the host. Found 2 Rare medalions 4 Uncommon and 2 common, finished the mission and thats it. I will just Solo, not because some other players can screw up, it happens, I screwed up with my directional melee and tripped the alarms once, but I just dont like the players that just bash others and leave. Plus...4 players in a spy room seems way too crowded. I have yet to do a Spy out of solo. Edited February 17, 2015 by Lanieu
Tharrick
how people fail at hacking? its easy m8 It's not the hacking they fail at, it's the getting to the terminal without setting off all the alarms and, usually, getting downed by the inevitable arrival of the defenses. ralifur
On another note. 52 runs on neptune - laomedeia spy mission. No dual mods yet. Im beginning to feel this is a myth and all the mods you guys are saying you are getting has all joined forces and are trying to trick the rest of us into believing they actually exist! :-p Edit: on 41 of the runs I have not been detected and did all 3 flawlessly. on the other 11 of the runs I did get detected tho still got away with the 3 data hacks anyway. Must be the unluckiest person in the world or I am missing something :-/ Edited February 17, 2015 by ralifur

ralifur
maybe they already took them back out Nope seems I was just unlucky. after 55 runs i got my first one of them so they are indeed there. just stubbornly rare for me i guess lol
Husla
Heres what you do: Get 3 players you trust. Say: I do A, you do B, you do C. That's how you farm event mods well. >.> Most of the time, you do it with others you get door requiring two people. /feels
gaurdianaq
Ya, best thing I can say is don't play spy with randoms, either play with friends or by yourself.
BurntMyWater
I was late to the party with the stolen dreams quest, so the missions were deserted when I played. This one mission I found myself teamed up with a Rhino(I was Excal). We somehow had a mutual understanding that he would stay at the entrance while I did all the ninja hacking stuff. Made my life easier.
Jylon
setting off alarms around the ship that are not in the data area don't affect the outcome of perfect stealth and hacks in the data area. also, every single hack attempt is its own instance. i have set off two data alarms and did the third perfectly and still wound up with a scorch mod the one time. but yeah, each perfect one is better chances overall. but i see no real reason of not being able to solo. with a loki, the whole map can be done in less than 3-5 mins; longer for some grineer maps since many of those seem to be supersized for some reason. spy 2.0 is so nice for quick bursts of affinity and keys! RugerMK1
I did a bunch (30+) runs of spy on Oceanum and only a couple were massive flub-ups with failure to hack before purging and mass exits. Pretty okay for doing it public. People must know to com to Oceanum on Pluto ready to Spy!

Perfect would be 1 with no alarms triggered in vaults, but from personal experience i did get event mods on runs where alarms in data vault were triggered but all data was retreived. Circle_of_Psi
Yeah, its best to never do Spy 2.0 missions with random people, not only they can expolit it for you, by setting of the alarm, just out of spite, but it be harder, I've done solo on Spy 2.0 missions easily

Spikey844
Unranked blind rages collect dust in my arsenal. I only own about 6 corrupted mods total... In any case, Intruder is useful in spy on Corpus.
Michael32
AFAIK, the event mods that everybody is after these days only drop on a perfect run. Gonna lead to tempers on a fail, though I'm somewhat surprised anybody after those would do anything but solo. Though, if you mean the hack minigames, and you're not good at them, you should probably bring ciphers or let someone who did hack instead. This is not true at all. Twice now I have seen event mods drop when someone tripped an alarm in the vault room but the data was still retrieved successfully.

TempleDriveOG
Let's cut white bullcrap off. Guys in this tread hate PUGs because PUGs screw stealth up. What OP did? He screw stealth up. So OP fits that category of "useless PUGs". And you hate him. Not directly him, because you think very highly about yourself to hate real person, but you hate category of people in which OP perfectly fits.
