I logged in just now and it looked like I won the Excalibur warframe, yet it still shows that I have to buy it.  Any thoughts on what I won? And where I can find it?

You won 1 part of the whole warframe (consists of 3 parts). When you craft each part , you can buy the Blueprint from the shop and combine them all into a Warframe.

What exactly did it show.

Did it show the excalibur with a 1, or with a higher number.

If it is a higher number, it means you would get affinity / experince for the warframe currently equiped.

If you got it with a 1, you don't get the warframe, you will get a blueprint part. Not sure if it is the one you get from the shop, or it is one of the parts ( helmet, system or chassis )

I'm pretty sure you got Warframe xp not a Warframe, i were confused first time i got that one too.

He says he still has to buy it. Meaning he doesn't have Excalibur. Which in turn implies he got one of the BPs needed to build Excalibur. Check your foundry and inventory to see if you have a BP.
