I watched, powerless, as the Ember's Archwing arrived and attached. She yanked the debris out of Deke's chest and generated enough heat to cauterise the wound. There were no flames.

Damn it! Damn these emotionless helmets!

Ember took the Valkyr into her arms and met with her Liset, pressing her into the deployment tube. She followed soon after and the ship pulled away. I felt my vision darken as I ran out of oxygen.

Come on, you bastard Archwing. Here!

I watched as the Lisets grew closer, small constructs detaching from the hulls. My Archwing approached, orbiting around me and attaching to my Warframe. I gasped as the life support kicked in and a rush of oxygen filled my helmet. My Warframe unlocked and I was free to move. Acting fast, I took hold of the nearest Wing, read the Void Signature and matched it to Orion. I rushed it over to him. Next was Shar-ri, then the Rhino. The four of us grouped up and stared as the Leviathan began to move.

"Lotus, where is it headed?"

"Orcus Relay."

"Where is Ember taking Deke?"

"Orcus Relay."

Shar-ri linked with the archwing,the HUD appearing in he visor. Energy fills her lungs like air, the others around her look equally revived by their chosen wing. "Orcus Relay" the call goes out. The target point lights up on the HUD and she punches max thrust knowing that the others will follow..

I saw Shar-ri pull away and immediately followed. I blinked, my Itzal taking me forward half a kilometre. I quickly closed on the Leviathan, approaching the huge eyes. My Fluctus unfolded, and I sent waves of energy against its eye. It quickly turned milky, blinded and useless. I saw another eye grow nearby. I did the same, my energy blasts destroying the eye. I deployed my drones, the small machines swinging around and shooting at any eyes they saw.

As I prepared to fire another pulse, a barb clattered against my armour. I turned, seeing hundreds of Infested Ospreys emerging from the Leviathan's hull.

"My foundries have accelerated. One hour, Tenno."

A basic void jump from Earth to Pluto would be too slow, the ember knew she would have to charge the jump somehow. Setting down the valkyr gently on the floor but propped against the mod station the kubrows nearby took a few sniffs and went back to sleep.

"Ordis, i need you to charge a void jump to Pluto, its highly important we get there in under five minutes." The ember had removed her prime armor and donned her trinity so she could do what she could for the wounded tenno. "Operator EAmorr, that requires a large amount of power i would have to shut down all other systems." EAmorr stared down at deke "do it."

The lights went out, life support was at minimal operating capacity and the kubrow that had sniffed deke was put into stasis, the entire ship was quiet for a moment. The engines roared so loud it seemed as if it could wake the dead.

"Lotus says one more hour until the bomb gets here. But how long do we have until this thing reaches Orcus?"

Her response was instant.

"At its current speed, the Leviathan will take eleven minutes to reach Orcus Relay."

Damn.

"Shar-ri, can you slow it down at all? I can't do much with an Itzal."

To demonstrate my point, I tried to pull it backwards with a Cosmic Crush, but only succeeding in pulling a mass of Infested Ospreys closer to me.

"I'll take the Ospreys, you try to slow it down."

((Sorry about the extended absence gents, our internet was cut off so I wasn't able to do anything until now. Great job keeping this tattered thing floating!))

I slid into my odonata prime archwing, I was annoyed, but the momentary rest was just what the doctor ordered. Since I hadn't seen doctor oberon in a while, I had no way to tell if he really did order it... bah who cares? Too many infested floating around. I unleashed my centaur sword, literally baking the infested with its fire blade, after I sliced them clean in two, anyway.

A transmission came through the Valkyr's helmet, a concerned voice of Corpus origin speaks.

" Dekky? It's Kett."

"Deke?"

"Deke, please. Dad and you have been gone for 5 Europa cycles."

"Deke... please.. respond."

The Valkyr is limp, lifelessly still, unresponsive.

Being a Loki, there were less... agreeable things that I did on a daily basis. Stealing, backstabbing, murdering, all parts of the business. Another was communications tapping. As I shattered another Osprey with a massive swing of my Rathbone, I heard Corpus dialect ringing through my helmet. I heard Deke's name thrown in, and immediately started a translation program. I stopped for a second, looking towards the faint glimmer in the distance, the engine flares of Orcus Relay, barely visible against the backdrop of stars.

These people care for Deke.

Shaking my head and closing the translation program, I turned to the Leviathan, flying around it, searching for a weak spot. There was an opening, and I flew inside.

Orion snaps onto his odonata, life support overflows his Warframe, he gasps for air, and quickly catches his bearings, he starts to regain his sight and hearing. He sees the others and catches up with them.

I dive and weave, my reaction time stretched to the limits with the barbs of vitriolic tissue erupting from every surface. The whole ship had been consumed by the Leviathan, and I could see the metal being corroded and added to the already-gargantuan biomass. Ospreys dotted the space inside, but were soon pushed back with several well-placed waves of energy. I could feel the heat rising as I moved further into the Leviathan, the barb strikes becoming more and more accurate as I did so.

It knows I'm here.

Suddenly, the barbs stopped. The Ospreys disappeared, and I found myself floating in a single, huge chamber. A massive Infested growth was suspended in the middle, and it beat rhythmically.

A heart.

I flew forward, preparing a crushing blow with my Rathbone, only to spot the mass of spores surrounding it at the last second. Aiming away from the heart, I blinked, the spores starting to eat at the armour around my left leg. I quickly brushed them off using my Fluctus. I went to send a message to my remaining teammates, only to come up blank. There was nothing I could do. Then, one name flashed on my HUD, along with an image of a broken and twisted Warframe. I opened it, the message looping through the Void, and I spoke one word.

"Deke."

Back in her ember prime armor, she ran with Deke in her arms to the medical ward where several trinities began their work on the valkyr. With a quick bow of thanks and respect the ember rushed back to her liset to help stop the leviathan that was now on sensor range of the relay.

Her basic Odonata clamped into her back, her ground systems shut down as the archwing powered up. She charged out towards the creeping monstrosity and dived right into the creatures face, or what she thought was its face. "Dang, i dont know what set of eyes to shoot this ugly thing between. So how was the party while i was out?" She was being chased by a few ospreys and maneuvered to send them into one of the leviathan's eyes, the ospreys collided and exploded on the surface of the eye that seemed to burst as well.

A upset, worried voice once more comes through Deke's transmission device, as the Trinities inspect her injuries.

 

"Deke Tohn!"

 

The voice pauses.

 

"If anyone can hear me.. please... please.. t-tell me she's alive..."

IT SHALL NOT DIE.

 

I raised my hand, summoning my Fighter Escorts. They immediately started to spray beams of light into the heart, the muscle twitching sporadically. I opened fire with my Fluctus, trying to drive away the spores so I could attack with my deadliest weapon. It was no use; as soon as a gap was cleared, it was immediately swarmed over by more spores. I propelled myself backwards, trying to contact the nearby Tenno.

"If you can hear me, this is Zantruze, the Loki. I found a way in, and found the Leviathan's heart. You need to-"

I was cut off by a burst of static.

Impossible. Tenno technology couldn't simply be jammed.

"Ah, T-Tenno, I see you found my l-latest... experiment."

That voice.

I turned, bringing up my Fluctus and unleasing several pulses at the voice. It was succeeded by laughter.

"Oh, T-Tenno. If onl-ly you had been wise. If onl-ly you had chosen... wisely. This may h-have been avoided."

"Show yourself. Fight me on even terms."

"On even terms? How ironic, coming from a Loki who r-revolves around t-trickery!"

A ball of spores flew through the space and impacted with the wing of my Itzal, eating into it. I shot at them, my Fluctus soon clearing them away.

"Do you f-fancy yourself a philosopher, Tenno?"

I know that voice...

I opened the link to Deke again, allowing the man's speech to reach her.

"I do not, but I know a monster when I hear one."

"A m-monster, you say?"

"Yes, Alad. A monster."

Hearing Alad's voice pounding in her head the ember went into a rage. Her body ignited with superheated blue fire, despite space being a vacuum.

"Where are you, i will break your bones and rip off every appendage you have!" EAmorr, the ember prime was hardly sounding sounding human, she was turning into a ball of savage rage as the voice of that infested thing that Alad had become bounced around in her head.

She couldn't see anything but the color red. When her vision allowed her to see shapes again she found herself at the leviathan's heart. Instantly she started taking her anger out on it, she hacked and slashed as flashes of images from the Zanuka project broke out from the dark place they had been sealed in.

"Ember! Don't go too close to the heart! It's covered in spores!"

I saw that my words had no effect, and she kept on slashing in a blind rage. I could see the spores eating at her Archwing and Warframe.

"Ah, the emotional... wounds cut deep, Tenno. She is beyond reason. Such a pity."

I quickly weighed up my options. There was the option of letting her continue her furious charge, and allow her to be dissolved by the Technocyte spores.

No. That's not happening.

I could always fly through and use my Archwing to push her away.

No, I can't tell which Archwing she has from here. I may not have to power.

I sighed. I had one last option.

"Tenno, you will watch as her fury counts for naught."

"Careful what you say, madman. I wouldn't bully a dragon. I have sent every word of this to someone who is quite effective at using fury as a weapon."

I disengaged from my Archwing, watching as my ability list switched from Itzal to Loki. Thinking fast, I used Switch Teleport, the move taking more energy than usual to move a much larger object. I pressed against the heart as the spores began to eat through my armour.

All is quiet and silent except for the distant fighting and ambience of the relay.

Suddenly, violent crashing of metal is heard, among startled shouting and yelling. The alarms activate, as a enraged individual comes storming out of the medical bay. A lockdown initiates, closing off all doors. One Tenno bravely stands in the path of the enraged figure, but is swiftly decapitated. That Tenno falls to the floor, head and all, blood pooling on the floor. Doors present no challenge, as she prys them right open. Infuriated, she climbs by hand out of the hangar, and into open space. A few Tenno follow with their Archwings, but are killed by the hysterical maniac, blood and dead Tenno drifting in space around the hangar. She picks one Archwing off of a Tenno, manually attaching it to herself. She zooms off, maximum speed, heading towards the "experiment".

One word is heard:

"Kill."

Confused for a moment as the ember found herself several yards away she spotted the Loki. Despite her damaged equipment and armor she charged full speed and wrenched the Loki from the reach of the spores.

"What were you thinking?!" She smacked him on the back of his head. "Disengaging the archwing was a stupid idea! I may turn into a crazed beast when it comes to that madman but that doesn't mean you come swooping in and pull me out of harms way! Even a cornered beast knows when its time to turn tail!"

She crossed her arms as she waited for him to answer while his archwing reattached to his back.

"Next time, pay attention."

I pointed to her Archwing, the wings almost corroded beyond repair.

"With broken wings, how can you fly?" I blasted the spores away from myself as my Itzal attacted to my suit. "You have just half a millimetre of Ferrite Alloy protecting you from the vacuum. You literally cannot take another hit."

I turned to the heart, attempting to blast away the spores. Eamorr tried to clear them with heat, the space between her and the heart shimmering and cooking the spores, but there were too many.

"Such f-futility. I see no reason why pitifful beings like you should have a place in my... empire."

Eyes began opening on the sides of the chamber, the shadows crawling around them. A spear cut through space, trying to hit me. I Blinked out of the way, shooting at the eyes. More and more spears flew, and I was slowly backed into a corner. Just as an eye aimed a spear to end me, a horrific screeching filled the air, mixed with roars of rage and the sound of shearing flesh and metal.

"Word of advice, don't lecture me!" EAmorr set her melee weapon ablaze and hurled it at the still beating heart. It sank to the hilt in the huge pulsing muscle. A horrible screech filled the ember's head, she locked her jaw as she launched her seeking flare at the fleshy spear that was still aimed for the Loki. She had gotten its attention and had momentarily saved the Loki. She had to keep moving if she didnt want to end up impaled and dissolved, but the others needed to get to the heart chamber and help them finnish kill this thing.

The Leviathan shook violently, the vacuum preventing the probably-awful screech from reaching my ears. The heart was ruptured, but I could already see the wound closing itself, closing around the glowing hot sword. I quickly yanked it out and threw it to EAmorr, who deftly caught it and returned it to its rightful place by her side.

"We need the others here if we're going to be able to destroy this thing for good."

"I will n-not let my experiment die so easily, T-Tenno."

Infested maggots began crawling from above the heart, swarming it and shielding it from my weapons.

"Ugh, disgusting."

(Huzzah. Moving 20,000 miles away, startin tomorrow. Wish me luck bruhs, it's gonna probably be around 4 days to get to the cabin we're staying in for the first days, with stops at hotels, etc(from minnesota to seattle cos minnesota sucks, period)

Suddenly, a blood-covered Valkyr rushes into the scene, breathing heavily with a posture and look of untamed rage. She screams at the Leviathan, rushing straight in, only hands to destroy with. Immediately a Corpus Venka-like weapon deploys, and the Infested maggots are taken out quickly as she screams and claws away at them.

Alad seems to take great suprise as to who comes in to destroy his experiment.
